A case of déjà vu? FinancialForce has reiterated its focus on expanding into Europe with an announcement about its partnership with Cloud Coachers in Spain. Cloud Coachers itself made the announcement about a month ago and Enterprise Times broke the news in February.
Why has it revisited the news now? Key to this is the push into Europe that FinancialForce is making. It hired Alon van Rezel last month opening a new office in Utrecht, Netherlands. However, Spain is an important target market for FinancialForce. This is because it has a development office located in Granada with 93 staff. This local presence gives it expertise in the local market and should mean that the localisation that it added in its Spring 2020 release is comprehensive. What is unclear is whether FinancialForce will hire local presales support to assist Cloud Coachers. Or, whether it will let the company forge its own path. There will be no shortage of technical support should it need it though.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Spain is an important target market for Salesforce. It has more than 400 employees located there. Headed by Enrique Polo de Lara, its is also the fifth fastest growing market, achieving 30% growth year over year according to Polo de Lara. The announcement may mean that Cloud Coachers is now fully trained and ready to pro-actively sell and market both ERP and PSA in Spain. If so FinancialForce will hope to announce some customer wins soon.
