Salesloft has appointed Sara Cohen as Chief People Officer. The appointment comes as the revenue workflow platform is growing through a significant growth phase. In February, it acquired DRIFT, a leading buyer engagement platform. Cohen will be joining and leading an HR function that is already recognised as having created an outstanding employee experience having achieved a Great Place to Work Certification last year.
David Obrand, CEO of Salesloft, commented, “Salesloft is expanding our global footprint, and it is important for us to have a senior leader who can help guide and shape this organization as we enter into this next phase of growth. Sara has an impressive track record as a senior People leader, focusing on both talent acquisition and talent development, especially during times of major growth and transformation.
“We are committed to expanding our global team and investing in continuous employee development. Sara’s background deeply aligns with those objectives, and we are thrilled that she will be a steward of our corporate culture during this period of expansion.”
Who is Sara Cohen
Cohen joins from Forsta, where she was Chief People Officer for the last four years. During her time there, she managed aspects of M&A processes. It is likely this experience is what that led Obrand to bring her on board. Before Forsta, she spent two years as a Managing Partner, Human Resources Director, GroupM Worldwide IT. And four years at Xaxis in senior HR roles. She has held other senior HR roles at companies such as Edelman, Saachi and Saachi and Text 100.
Cohen commented, “The way people work is rapidly changing due to advancements in technology, and Salesloft is at the heart of this transformation. Salesloft uses AI and other technologies to enhance employee productivity and to drive outcomes, ensuring that technology serves people, not the other way around. I’m excited to join a company that’s committed to helping both our employees and customers rethink their approach to work.”
A veteran in people management, Cohen has nearly two decades of experience balancing business priorities with employee needs to drive growth. Through her work at firms like Forsta, GroupM, Xaxis, and Edelman, Cohen has demonstrated an ability to improve organizational efficiency. Also, lead companies through times of transformation, and advise teams amid acquisitions. While maintaining a hyper-focus on positive and inclusive workplace cultures.
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
The big question that needs answering here is what this means for DRIFT’s Chief People Officer, Diana Brunelle. Brunelle was appointed a year ago. Brunelle might have hoped for the role within the larger organisation, but Salesloft has decided to bring in Cohen. Will Brunelle stay at DRIFT/Salesloft or will she look elsewhere?
Cohen will need to bring together the two companies as her first task. Ensuring that the culture of Salesloft is maintained and driving forward talent initiatives at the vendor.
