KCS has strengthened its leadership structure in North America with the appointment of Heather Preu as CEO – North America. Preu will take over the senior role in the region from Cary Anderson. She takes on a bigger operations team following the acquisition of MAM which it acquired for $154.2 million in September last year.
There are now four significant products for KCS in North America:
- Dancik: Flooring distribution ERP
- Mincron: construction distribution sector ERP
- MAM: An ERP focused on the automotive sector
- K8: The flagship KCS ERP solution
Mike Jamieson, CEO of MAM, will return to the UK with his family. He will still work inside the KCS business. Anderson will report to Preu in the changed structure. Preu commented: “I am so excited to be joining the KCS family. With the ongoing investment in the products and North American business expansion, it is an amazing time to be part of the organization. With the strength of the products and unsurpassed industry expertise I cannot wait to meet the team and engage with our customers and prospects to share our continued focus on delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction and top industry business solutions.”
Preu was previously SVP and GM of Global Solutions at Infor and previously worked at IBM, GE Digital and spent ten years at IQMS.
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Preu will have gained good experience during her year at Infor understanding how to bring different companies together. Preu will report to Ian Bendelow, KCS Group CEO. Bendelow commented: “Our strong presence in the North American market, with offices in Houston, Raleigh Durham, Philadelphia and Toronto, place us in a tremendous position to grow even further. Heather’s experience, motivational personality and attention to customer service will take the group forward to the next level in North America.”
It will be interesting to see how Preu takes the business unit forward in her first CEO role. Will she also look to strengthen the team as she aims for further growth?
