Butterflies, Image by Ronny Overhate from PixabayInfor has announced the expansion of its formal partnership with Deloitte to the Nordic regions. Within the US, Deloitte is one of Infor’s most successful partners. In 2018 and 2019, Deloitte was named Infor’s WFM/HCM Partner of the Year. In 2020, Infor, Deloitte and Wichita State collaborated to found The Smart Factory @ Wichita. A new Industry 4.0 immersive experience centre launched by Deloitte.

While Deloitte has helped implement Infor solutions internationally, notably at Scandi Standard. There has never been a formal partnership between the two organisations outside the US until now. However, Deloitte did win the 2020 Global System Integrator of the Year partner award.

They will hope that the experience of Scandi Standard will be replicated elsewhere.

Göran Matz, Group CIO at Scandi Standard, noted, “The ability to quickly adapt to a new and complex reality is crucial to our success, to succeed we need suppliers who deeply understand our industry and have solutions that are adapted to our industry from the start. Together, Deloitte and Infor have delivered just this, both a way for us to push through change and a digital platform that enables continuous improvement that is always updated to meet future requirements.”

The Nordics beat the UK

Other regions outside the US have been working towards a partnership with Deloitte. In 2021, Anwen Robinson revealed that Infor was working with Deloitte. This was to consider launching its Healthcare solutions in the UK, but that partnership never reached fruition. However, the two companies have been working to ensure that organisations maximise the value from their ERP solutions. The industry-first approach by Infor aligns well with most global SIs, and this announcement has been a long time coming.

Robert Bergström, Partner at Deloitte, commented, “The trend in ERP is that even large companies are now seriously looking at real cloud-based solutions. Infor is a leader in ERP and has shown time and time again that their vision with cloud-based, multi-tenant solutions specifically developed for different types of industries is the right way to go for the fastest possible conversion of their processes. Being able to offer Deloitte’s strategic advice together with solutions that effectively support the implementation of the advice we give is a real strength that we are both interested in developing further.”

Malte Ekedahl, SVP and GM Infor Nordics noted, “We believe that Deloitte’s deep industry knowledge and ability to lead its clients through change matches our vision of delivering solutions where industry functionality is built in from the start. Together, we can offer companies a fast track to change rather than letting customers tread water year after year, something that was previously more the rule than the exception when it comes to the traditional implementation of an ERP solution.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean?

Is this the start of something beautiful between Infor and Deloitte in International? The proof will be in the deals that happen over the next few months. If Infor Nordics can demonstrate that it can bring significant business to Deloitte, then other regions will take note. Infor is strong in several countries, especially in EMEA and the Middle East. How quickly can it produce case studies or even customer wins that whet the appetite of other Deloitte practices?

If the Infor Nordics team can win multinational, Nordics-based enterprises, then this becomes more likely. Infor will need to update its partner portal, as currently, only Deloitte LLC is listed.
