Precisely has announced the promotion of Eric Willcox to Chief Revenue Officer. He has taken over the role vacated by Patrick McCarthy, who left Precisely in October 2024 to join Google as VP Workspace. Willcox joined Precisely in August 2022 as SVP of Sales America. He will now lead the go-to-market strategy, sales performance, client satisfaction, and overall operations of the global sales, channel partner, and customer success organizations.
In his role as CRO, he will help customers empower their organisations to establish accurate, consistent, and contextual data to deliver trusted outcomes. His promotion comes after a successful year for Precisely. 2024 saw improvements to the Data Integrity Foundation, Data Integrity Suite and its other solutions. It also launched the Data Graph API.
Additionally, the firm deepened relationships with AWS, Google, SAP and Databricks. It also started the FedRAMP authorisation process for its Data Integrity Suite Data Governance Service. Moreover the firm was recognised by industry analysts, such as IDC and Aspire, as a leader for its technology.
Josh Rogers, CEO at Precisely, commented, “Eric has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead with a customer-centric mindset and operational excellence. His extensive track record of building and inspiring teams, coupled with his strategic approach to aligning customer satisfaction with business growth, makes him uniquely qualified to drive our go-to-market strategy. I am confident Eric will continue to elevate our global operations as we accelerate our leadership in data integrity.”
Who is Eric Willcox

Willcox joined Precisely from SAP, where he held several leadership positions over a fifteen year career at the global ERP vendor. As Chief Operating Officer South Market Unit, SAP North America, he was responsible for the strategic planning and execution of a $1.7B+ market unit with 200+ people across 14 states. Supporting over 800 large enterprises and 2,500 mid-market organizations. Before SAP, he spent a decade at IBM in various sales roles, all based in the US.
At Precisely, he pioneered a customer-first approach. Combining strategic market insights with a deep understanding of client needs to deliver long-term value. His depth of experience selling across different industries throughout his career and his knowledge of the Precisely portfolio and the customer-first approach should align well with the Precisely momentum. However, this is his first global role, and it will be interesting to see how he meets that challenge.
Willcox commented, “Trusted data has never been more critical to fueling business success and enabling timely, confident decisions – it’s the foundation for transformative initiatives like AI, automation, and advanced analytics. Data integrity is where the journey to trusted data begins, and Precisely is the undisputed leader in this space with decades of expertise spanning software, data, and strategy services. I’m thrilled to lead a world-class revenue organization and deepen our partnership with customers, contributing to their ongoing success.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Promoting from within is a positive move by Rogers as he looks to maintain the momentum created over the last couple of years. Willcox is familiar with the leadership and should slot seamlessly into the leadership team.
While he has the organisational knowledge and relationships in place, he will have to balance the broader functional responsibilities alongside the global challenges. Precisely is rapidly expanding internationally, and it will be interesting to see how he approaches the new challenges.
