Automate Kaufman -Image by Gerd Altmann from PixabayAs Sapphire continues, Precisely has announced that Precisely Automate Studio (formerly Winshuttle Studio) now supports SAP Fiori. As organisations look to migrate data into SAP S/4HANA, this new functionality will enable organisations using SAP Fiori to improve data collection, validation, and movement for use with SAP S/4HANA. The solution will be generally available from July.

Automate Studio for Fiori automation will enable firms to streamline their SAP Fiori data automation processes. It will support SAP applications using Fiori GUI for HTML and SAP GUI.

Users are able to create automation scripts, enabling them to eliminate manual data entry. The automation also allows for validation before posting into SAP S/4HANA. The Automate Studio enables users to manage data automation across most of the SAP clients used within the firm. Thus reducing one of the main challenges for migrations to SAP S/4HANA. Recent research conducted by Precisely and America’s SAP User Group (ASUG) revealed that 57% of companies using SAP ERP systems have or are planning to use multiple environments. The number depends on the different use cases across the business and creates a complex, time-consuming challenge for migrations.

The new modules enable firms to create automations for more of the ERP interfaces they have created. As with the Automation Studio Transaction module automation, it uses Excel templates to help streamline the process. The template enables an organisation to quickly extract, validate, correct, review, approve, and enhance data, ready for posting into SAP ERP solutions, including S/4HANA in both private and public clouds.

Powering up Automate Studio

For over 20 years, Automate Studio has helped SAP customers automate data changes for SAP data from within a single location. Using a familiar Excel interface it saves huge amounts of time for customers such as Scientific Drilling, Alstom Power and Under Armour.

The new release is an example of how the solution keeps up to date with changes by SAP and makes the software as valuable as it ever was.

Dominik Lind, IT consultant at K+S, a pioneer in environmentally friendly and sustainable mining, commented, “By adding support for SAP Fiori, Precisely Automate can help us to streamline and automate our business processes for supply chain planning, logistics, and customer engagement, and other domains.

“Our team benefits from greater flexibility along with added governance, automation, and simplicity to bring us confidence in the data we use to make decisions. We’ve significantly improved our productivity thanks to Precisely.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Automate Studio is now more relevant than ever before. Many SAP customers are now looking to migrate their SAP ERP solutions to S/4HANA in the coming years. The additional support for SAP Fiori will allow SAP customers to support the migration of ever more customised SAP ERP solutions to the cloud-based SAP S/4HANA. For SAP customers looking to learn more about streamlining and simplifying SAP Customer Master data processes with automation, Precisely is hosting a webinar on June 18th within several time zones (Registration Required).
