Professional Services Image by Gerd Altmann from PixabayLast week, monday.com revealed another quarter of growth. Kantata revealed that it has won several new customers in its first quarter without revealing its revenue figures. Accelo published a blog that celebrated the return of Triggerfish to its customer base, and Sciforma revealed FINTX as a new customer. Product updates came from Mission Control, Kantata, Node & Links and Sciforma.

Accelo

Accelo revealed why Triggerfish, a MarTech agency in Brisbane and part of Rightscale Group, chose to redeploy Accelo, after using the solution between 2016 and 2019.  The agency grew quickly with Accelo but switched to a bigger solution offering greater efficiency and scalability.

However, it was a case of the grass looking greener on the other side. The new platform lacked some of the automation the team had enjoyed with Accelo, and productivity fell. The leadership could not accurately report on resource capacity in the short and long term. Triggerfish returned to Accelo just over a year after leaving.

Mirko Roettgers, General Manager, commented, “With a better view of resource capacity, our sales team is always aware of when new projects can start and finish. This allows our clients to have more accurate expectations regarding delivery timing. More importantly, our team is less overburdened in managing tasks on multiple projects at the same time.”

Kantata

Kantata announced continued momentum at the end of Q1 2023. It added several new customers, including, ArtiumCelfocusCoStrategixDigital.aiGSIImage Analysis LimitedLayline AutomationOmniData, and UP3.

Michael Speranza, Kantata CEO, commented, “Each organization has unique needs, but it is clear that there is an urgent need across professional services, especially the IT consultancies, for Kantata’s comprehensive range of vertical SaaS solutions specifically designed to help customers deliver exceptional employee and client experiences while elevating performance. We look forward to delivering the clarity, control, and confidence our new customers need at every step of the professional services project lifecycle.”

After its major Spring update last month, Kanatat continues to roll out updates for its Kantata OX solution. Updates for May include:

  • A new integration with BambooHR using Kantata Connect
  • A redesigned App Bar available under early release
  • A new ability to select several tasks at once in Task Tracker
  • A new notification in-app or via Slack when a schedule change occurs
  • An ability to duplicate unnamed resources based on another unnamed resource’s information
  • Improvements to the Distribute Hours option in the Resource Center and the new Resourcing tab
  • Users can now sort Project Lists by text, number, date, currency, and single-choice custom field values

Mission Control

Mission Control revealed version 1.64 of its PSA solution. Key improvements included:

  • Skills Development Planning: the ability to create and manage individual development plans and conduct assessments for each skill therein.
  • Skills Matrix Report: displays a matrix of skills assigned to Active roles, making it easier to identify weak areas within the organisation.

Other improvements include:

  • Project Status Report Enhancements

  • Timesheet Enhancements

  • Checklist Item Status Updates
  • Billing Event Enhancements
