The new solution helps organisations manage last-mile connectivity and solve bandwidth, latency and security issues for cloud customers. Powered by an SDWAN 11:11 System will offer a range of carrier solutions to an organisation’s locals and will manage the network. The solution provides simplified billing, integrating it with AWS billing and simplifying the management of an organisation’s network infrastructure.

Bentley Systems
Bentley Systems announced that it has acquired Cesium, a 3D geospatial company. Cesium will combine with iTwin, a Bentleys solution that enables engineering companies worldwide to design, build and operate the world’s infrastructure.
The Cesium open platform is used to create geospatial applications. It is used by both private and public sectors across the world. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, Patrick Cozzi, CEO of Cesium has been named Chief Platform Officer. He will now lead the development of both Cesium and iTwin.
Bentley CEO Nicholas Cumins said, “A 3D geospatial view is the most intuitive way for owner-operators and engineering services providers to search for, query, and visualize information about infrastructure networks and assets. With the combined capabilities of Cesium and iTwin, infrastructure professionals can make better-informed decisions in full 3D geospatial context—all within a single, highly performant environment.”

Deltek
Deltek revealed the details of Blackwood of DC, a leading commercial concrete contractor headquartered in Washington, D.C. The firm has been using Deltek ComputerEase since 2009 to streamline its operations and enhance productivity. Over time, the solution has expanded its use from a few key personnel to across the business.
The software is now embedded across the organisation and has helped optimise job costing, payroll and workflows. Now a member of the Deltek Advisory Council, David Haislip, Chief Financial Officer at Blackwood of DC with over 30 years of experience, noted that “Once you have used ComputerEase, it is clear that it’s definitely one of the easier software tools to use.”

In a LinkedIn post, Infor revealed that Geosytec Consultants has selected its project management and accounting solution. It also published a short video case study about how Marmon Foodservice Technologies, a Berkshire Company, is transforming the industry with the help of Infor Solutions. Infor has enabled the firm to create a common backend to combine the efforts of its multiple brands. It moved from 16 legacy ERP solutions to a single Infor ERP.
Using Infor CloudSuite has streamlined its operations and has increased the efficiency of the business.

Infosys and the Financial Times announced the digital revival of a pioneering piece of economic history—the Monetary National Income Analogue Computer (MONIAC) — courtesy of a ground-breaking new virtual reality experience, the ‘FT Money Machine’. The FT Money Machine replicates the analogue model created by Bill Phillips in 1949. This was used to study economic models.
The FT Money Machine’s three-dimensional interface will offer a comprehensive educational tool for students, educators, researchers, and economic enthusiasts. Providing a hands-on learning experience that illustrates economic principles in a way that is both engaging and insightful. By embracing new immersive technologies, it will help transcend the limitations of traditional educational tools. Thus making economic education more effective and accessible.

Panasonic Factory Solutions introduced a new Auto Setting Feeder (ASF) to take a significant step towards autonomous SMT production. The Panasonic ASF technology automates setting and loading reducing set time drastically and removing the need for human intervention.
The new feeder will fit into most production lines. It will rapidly and consistently feed components from a width of 4mm to 104 mm. It will automatically remove the cover tape and then feed the next tap and refills as required.

Panasonic launched the AK-UCX100GSJ 4K studio camera for high-quality video and innovative on-site live production in the IP era,. This included studio work, sports broadcasting and stage productions. The AK-UCX100GSJ can be operated as a standalone camera head without requiring a Camera Control Unit (CCU). It also supports a variety of IP standards. These include SMPTE ST 2110, NDI High Bandwidth, and SRT, as well as 12G-SDI (x2). SMPTE ST 2110 enables network redundancy and supports JPEG XS for low-latency transmission. Thus ensuring visually lossless video quality and extra-stable IP operation.
