Automate Kaufman -Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay Precisely has announced the availability of a single-tenant SaaS deployment model for its Automate Evolve and Automate Studio Manager products. This is the latest update to the products that were part of the Winshuttle acquisition in 2021. Precisely has continued to invest in SAP focused solutions. In August 2021, it launched portal and API capabilities. These included RESTful APIs including:

  • SAP Data API
  • Evolve Digital Access API
  • Evolve 3rd-party API support

Automate Evolve supports the different SAP processes and data needs for regions, product lines, or business units in a single workflow solution. It delivers maximum flexibility and enables faster digitisation. Automate Studio leverages a three-step process: record, map and run to automate the validation and ingestion of data into SAP solutions. This announcement sees the ability of organisations to leverage the solutions in the cloud. It will reduce the data transfer issues and improve efficiency as more companies look for multi-cloud and hosted SAP solution environments.

The release, 20.2.8, also added support for Japanese for the Evolve, Studio Manager and Studio products. Furthermore, the Studio installer is now localised for Japanese, French, German, and Spanish. There is also support for Google SAML SSO.

The release also sees Precisely updating the product to support SAP S/4 HANA 2021. Further future-proofing the Automate family of products in the SAP ecosystem.

Anjan Kundavaram, Chief Product Officer at Precisely, commented: “Process automation is essential in improving data quality at the source, providing greater consistency, and, ultimately, putting our customer on the right path for achieving data integrity. These latest updates to the Precisely Automate family underline our ongoing commitment to supporting our customers on their cloud transformation journey.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Precisely has continued to invest in the Automate family of products. This will draw it closer to SAP as it moves its legacy on-premises solutions to the cloud. However, neither of the Automate solutions appear to be listed on the SAP Store, and this is something it should work towards.

John Reda, SVP, Product Management at Precisely, noted: “Many of our customers are moving to a cloud-first stance for their IT operations. This new deployment offering provides the opportunity to adopt our industry-leading SAP automation capabilities directly in-line with their strategic objectives.”

This means that customers can remove most on-premises server-based application management, hardware and maintenance costs. It delivers the possibility of fully migrating their SAP environment to the cloud. A cloud-based solution also offers a more consistent, reliable system with better uptime, easier access and software updates. Precisely does not note the downtime required to upgrade the single-tenant cloud version and who is responsible for it.
