Projetech has launched an online community for all Maximo users. MORE (Maximo Online Resources & Education) is a one-stop-shop for Maximo resources and information. Projetech is one of the leading Maximo partners and a gold business partner of IBM Maximo. Its core offering is MaaS, Maximo as a Service.
Steve Richmond, CEO of Projetech commented: “After 20 years of partnering with Maximo subject-matter experts and supporting Maximo end users, we saw a need for a user-friendly, online hub where members can network and consume Maximo resources and expertise in real-time. We are excited to be able to give back to the community by launching this holistic, Maximo online learning and resources platform.”
What is interesting about this community is that it seems as though Projetech has not gone it alone with this initiative. There are already contributions from A3J Group and Starboard Consulting, both Maximo consultants and resellers. The events page lists both conferences and online events from other resellers.
The community is moderated and split into several sections. There are forums, a repository for Maximo Resources, an events listing page and a list of Maximo service providers. In time, the community will have multimedia collateral and a large repository of information about Maximo.
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
This is an overdue initiative and one that Maximo users will probably find extremely useful. It should deliver a mix of in-depth technical information as well as providing information that less experienced Maximo users have sought. With other consultancies joining in, one hopes that Maximo users across the globe will also participate. At the moment the site seems mainly North American centric. That could change depending on whether other international consultancies join up. The Maximo community is huge, and if well supported, this could make a significant difference to many.
