SYSPRO has announced the opening of its fourth office in Africa located in Nairobi, Kenya. This new office is the first in East Africa with its three others all in South Africa where it is headquartered. Zaren Ramlugan, SYSPRO Channel Sales Manager for Africa commented: “This region is growing its manufacturing and distribution sectors at an incredible rate and we want to expand our offerings to grow alongside them and service this fast growing centre of commerce.”

SYSPRO has operated in East Africa for several years. It also has several partners in the region, including Kenya Synchron Business Solutions and Mareba Computers Limited. It has a long list of customers. Among them are Brookside Dairy, Basco Paints, Sadolin Paints, Jomo Kenya Foundation, Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation (KEBS), MEDS, Githunguri Dairy, Kenya Methodist University (KEMU), SC Johnson & Son, SAB Miller – Kenya, and Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers. The recent growth has led to the decision to open an office to cover the region as Ramlugan continued: “This region is growing its manufacturing and distribution sectors at an incredible rate and we want to expand our offerings to grow alongside them and service this fast growing centre of commerce.”

Gearing for Growth

This is the second new office that SYSPRO has opened in as many months as they accelerate their growth,. In November they opened an office in Melbourne, Australia as they look to implement their Gearing for Growth strategy. The new office in Nairobi will enable them to support customers and partners locally.

Founded in 1978 SYSPRO by Phil Duff and his brother the company has expanded to have a global reach. It has more than 15,000 customers and 1,600 channel partners selling its ERP solution for both on-premises and cloud. The software now operates across more than 60 countries in six continents. This latest strategy is aimed to accelerate that global growth. With a local presence in East Africa it will hope to steal a march on some of its competitors in the mid-market.

Conclusion

With the advent of 4G across Africa, companies are able to reap increasing benefits by deploying ERP solutions.  Mobile technology is allowing the connection of disparate locations across the countries. Sales teams are able to connect either to a cloud based service or head office to improve business efficiency. The growth of ERP in Africa is accelerating. SYSPRO will hope to capitalise on that as its opens its new office in Kenya.

Ramlugan will hope to leverage what he sees as the SYSPRO competitive advantage in the region. He commented: “At SYSPRO we focus on optimizing the business efficiency of manufacturing and distribution customers by ensuring we are always evolving our product suite with the latest innovations to future proof our customers businesses.”
