Cleo has announced the expansion of its partnership with Revenova. The partnership, which started in 2018, saw the integration of Revenova’s EDI software with the Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) platform.
Cleo has a deep understanding of the integrations required for the Logistics industry with partnerships such as Revenova and CTSI-Global. Clients such as R.C. Moore leverage the Cleo Integration cloud to ensure data flows as easily as goods across the supply chain.
The integration between Cleo and the Revenova TMS solution, built on the Salesforce platform, will continue to develop. It now offers connectivity for EDI and non-EDI requirements. Revenova is designed for 3PLs, freight brokers, carriers, and shippers. It has integrations with over 4,000 compatible apps. One of these is Rootstock ERP, whose integration dates back to 2016. In combination Cleo and Revenova can supply the integrations that transportation firms require to enable efficiency and the smooth operation of administration.
The combination of Revenova TMS modules and Cleo’s extensive supply chain digital network provides mutual customers with all the functionality, flexibility, security, reliability, and performance required to succeed in today’s multimodal (LTL, FTL, Flatbed, Bulk, Drayage, etc.), multi-currency, and multi-language logistics environment.
Bob Hoch, Cleo’s Director of Channel Sales, said, “We truly appreciate our longstanding partnership with Revenova and the positive impact we are making together on the global Transportation and Logistics industry. Cleo’s breadth and depth in integrating logistics and transportation ecosystems, combined with our vast network of shippers and carriers, plus our well-known integration expertise, is helping logistics companies deliver on their promises to their customers.”
End-to-end solution
Historically, Revenova customers have leveraged the Cleo for EDI transaction integration to support connectivity between their logistics/trucking operations and trading partners submitting loads and looking for status and settlement after delivery. Further integrations to MRP/ERP and WMS solutions can extend the automation depending upon client needs. While this announcement mentions the extension of the partnership, it is unclear what improvements in the integration will enhance the existing relationship. It may be just, this is an affirmation of the connectivity rather than a specific deliverable.
Michael Horvath, Co-Founder EVP and COO of Revenova commented, “We offer a global and genuinely holistic TMS solution for brokers, shippers, carriers, and 3PLs, with more than 45 integration partners and thousands of apps that can be deployed and administered together through Salesforce. Add to this the fact that Cleo gives us a powerful solution for virtually all our customers’ integration needs, and there’s no doubt we’re helping our joint customers make their supply chains and vendor ecosystems stronger.”
Horvath continued, “In teaming with Cleo, we can provide everything a logistics company needs so our TMS users can focus on innovation rather than integration. Cleo’s breadth of product offerings gives our customers the flexibility to choose the strategy that best fit their needs. Whether that means using Cleo’s cloud-based solutions or starting with their on-premise options. CIC has proven to be reliable, secure and scalable for our customers. Simply put, our users would not be able to get the job done in logistics without the service Cleo provides.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
This announcement signals Cleo’s focus on the Logistics and Transportation Industry. It also recognises the synergy with the Manufacturing and Wholesale distribution sectors. Strengthening partnerships in this sector will help Cleo strengthen its market presence. Other recent and relevant announcements included the Cleo Business Commitment Monitoring for Logistics. What is missing from this announcement are details about what the partnership has delivered since 2018. How many joint customers there are, and what the benefits they are seeing. Also, looking forward, what improvements will Cleo or Revenova make, both on the product and go-to-market side?
