Deltek has announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with Grant Thornton to target both public and private companies across the US. The agreement will see the two companies working together on deployments for Deltek Enterprise Resource Planning, Project & Portfolio Management, and Talent Management solutions.

Deltek customers will benefit from the expertise that Grant Thornton itself has as a government contractor. Notably during the implementation of Deltek solutions. Greg Wallig, Grant Thornton’s Metro DC-Arlington office managing principal commented: “Government contractors can now tap into an integrated team that utilizes Deltek’s solutions and applies Grant Thornton’s acumen in transformation, change management and compliance. It’s important to have the best solutions and system integrators teamed together to provide clients with the highest-value transformation services.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

This brings an experienced SI into the Deltek partner ecosystem. The addition of Grant Thornton will help it increase its market presence around government contractors. It is a market that it is already strong in and this relationship has clear benefits to both parties.

The press release has very little detail other than the desire to work together on projects though. There is no mention of co-marketing or investment in training on the Deltek systems by Grant Thornton. Its success will be determined by the number of customer successes that the companies jointly produce over the next few months.
