Century Business Solutions (Century) has announced some new enhancements for its payment integration solution for NetSuite and a new customer portal, EBizCharge for NetSuite. EBizCharge for NetSuite allows businesses to accept credit cards, debit cards, and ACH checks indirectly into their NetSuite software.
Embedding automated payment processes into NetSuite in this way reduces the risk of human error and improves accounting processes and reduces the payment cycle.
The solution, surprisingly does not (as of writing) appear on the Suiteapp.com website. The inference is that the payment gateway pulls data such as line item details and invoice information that is already stored in NetSuite and sends this to the EBizCharge payment gateway. This qualifies the credit or debit cards and uses the lowest possible interchange levels.
The solution meets the latest PCI specifications. It stores and presumably transfers the data in an encrypted format.
New payment portal
Century has also announced a complementary customer payment portal. This portal, EBizCharge Connect for NetSuite allows merchants to upload invoices in a secure way. Customers are able to log in, review and pay either a partial or the full amount of the invoice. The integration with NetSuite can pass back information about the payments to NetSuite once they are complete. It also ensures that the appropriate accounting transactions are processed automatically.
The gateway provides full historical reporting. However, it only emails a daily batch report for bank reconciliation. A deeper integration may have enabled much of that work to be automated by the solution.
What does this mean
While Century Business Solutions are an Oracle Gold Partner it seems unusual that the payments portal is not listed on the NetSuite SuiteApp site. This means that it has not yet passed the Built for NetSuite review or is in the process of doing so. From the information available the EBizCharge application sits outside of NetSuite. It pushes and pulls the data from NetSuite to complete the payments tasks.
The solution has no set up, upgrade or maintenance fees, relying on transactions payments to generate revenue. The integration appears to be on a daily batch basis and therefore may not be suitable for high levels of transactions.
EBizCharge also integrates to several other ERP, CRM vendors. ERP and Vendors include:
- Acumatica
- Epicor 10
- Microsoft Dynamics
- QuickBooks
- Sage
- SAP
- Dynamics CRM
- Zoho CRM.
This solution would probably have been more powerful if it was fully integrated and built for NetSuite. However, the cost would probably be higher if that were the case.
