Matthews, Carter & Boyce (MCB), a leading accounting firm in Washington DC, has become an authorized SIAP partner of Sage Intacct, the preferred financial management application of AICPA. What prompted this move? MCB has a growing number of clients and prospects were looking for advice and services around cloud-based financial solutions.
MCB is already a QuickBooks partner. It is a logical progression as their clients grow to want to team up with one of the leading financial management solutions on the market. As a partner, MCB will now sell, implement and support Sage Intacct. The press release also indicated that the firm would develop enhancements to the application for clients. However, it did not go into further detail about what that meant.

Outsourced accounting
MCB will not only provide services to clients to implement and support Sage Intacct; it also leverages the solution to provide its Accountancy outsourcing practice. Alongside Intuit QuickBooks, it can provide financial outsourcing to companies from small to a significant size.
Founded in 1947, MCB has provided accountancy services for more than 70 years to a mix of industries. These include investment companies, non-profit and real estate, all sectors that Sage Intacct has customers in.

Yet another firm of CPAs joins the Sage Intacct ecosystem. There is growing automation for the small business sector. QuickBooks automates many of the tasks that accountants might have done before. There is, therefore, room for growth. The expertise gained enables accountants to spend more time offering business advice than just crunching numbers.
As clients grow, it is natural for them to seek solutions more suited to larger, more complex organizations. Sage Intacct is one such solution, and both Sage Intacct and MCB are likely to benefit from this partnership.
