Rimini Street has continued its global expansion with a new office in Mexico City. It has set up a new subsidiary Rimini Street de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V.. Rimini Street will also hire new staff. It already has more than 100 clients in Mexico and will look to add more, taking them from SAP and Oracle, which might impact those companies revenues in the country.
The new office will be led by Edenize Maron, Rimini Street’s general manager of Latin America, a twelve veteran of SAP. Since 2015 he has successfully led the expansion of Rimini Street in Latin America. The office will be a full service office with Maron looking to hire marketing, sales and support staff.
Ms Maron commented: “Now, more than ever, CIOs in Mexico are challenged with optimizing their IT spend and investing more to drive competitive advantage and growth. Rimini Street has the products, services, strategies and experience to help Mexican organizations achieve these critical business goals.
“Today, we are already a trusted partner to more than 100 clients operating in Mexico who are leveraging a better alternative to high-cost, low-value SAP and Oracle support programs, and we are looking forward to helping many more Mexican organizations take the necessary steps that will put them back in control of their own IT roadmaps.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Rimini Street has only two positions advertised currently for Mexico City with nine employees already listed. Their expertise covers SAP and Oracle but one of the new positions is also for Salesforce expertise. Even at the beginning Mahon is sensibly adding support for cloud solutions as well as the legacy ERP systems. To date there seems little impact on Oracle revenues, but that may follow. However Oracle is also aggressively hiring in the same country with 82 current openings.
