Infor has announced that Hotel Alma at the University of Calgary is to upgrade to the latest cloud version of Infor HMS. Hotel Alma operates 96 rooms and suites and also manages the conference centre. It also operates Flats at Alma and Seasonal Residence at the University of Calgary. It has used Infor HMS since 2009 and will now take advantage of the latest functionality that Infor HMS offers.
As part of the upgrade it will also leverage Celopay, a web-based application that enables the secure collection of payment from guests and customers. Infor had previously announced a collaboration with Celopay and has integrated it into Infor HMS. The payment platform will enable Hotel Alma to meet its PCI compliance obligations.
Jason Floyd, general manager, Infor Hospitality commented “Infor Hospitality helps leading hoteliers around the world maximize revenue potential, streamline operations and build a better guest experience. Infor’s industry-specific suite not only provides team members with critical, time-sensitive data, but helps organizations quickly adapt to changing consumer expectations and demands in order to improve guest service and ultimately drive additional sales. By leveraging Infor’s deep domain expertise in hospitality, hoteliers are also able to tackle key compliance issues that constantly arise, and maintain transparency throughout the organization.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
This latest success in Canada further increases the news around Infor Hospitality. It recently completed the acquisition ReServe Interactive. Hotel Alma is but a single establishment and, while prestigious in Canada, Infor needs to increase the size of its deals in the space to make an impact. If it can continue to win deals across the globe it will be interesting to see if it increases its market share position.
