We have some exciting news to share
While the website link indicates that the news will be about Windows 10 devices there are also suggestions of an announcement around a few other things.
Surface Pro 4
Probably the most signposted will be the new Surface Pro 4. While none of the previous devices has reached the level of sales that Microsoft would have hoped for this device is still keenly awaited by many.
Neurogadget revealed what it believes will be the specifications of the new device including that it will be thinner, lighter and aimed very firmly against the iPad Pro launched recently. Microsoft has been narrowing the gap with Apple on the technology and the question for them is whether they can get the apps developed for it. That this will be announced seems almost certain, that it will run on Windows 10 is another fact, the question will be whether anyone buys it.
New Nokia
That Microsoft itself has leaked details of the new Lumia phones, the Lumia 950 & 950 XL by putting them on their website ahead of release means that the new Windows 10 phones will almost certainly be revealed during the announcement. PCAdvisor has more details on the devices.
Microsoft band 2
Probably but not definitely the third and last device to be announced will be the second iteration of the Microsoft band which sunk into obscurity on its first iteration. The first band is now being offered by retailers for as little as £150 and was not even in the top seven wrist band devices. If the price point is good and the device works not just with Windows devices but also with Android and iOs then it could become an interesting challenger to FitBit and the Apple watch.
