The agreement will see the major distributor add Zoho Workplace, the email and collaboration suite, to its catalogue of software it distributes to many of the resellers in the UK.

Zoho Workplace includes ten Zoho Apps that help organisations manage Email, Calendars, Tasks, Files, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Team Collaboration, Conferencing, and the Corporate Intranet. The addition of the Zoho Workplace suite will allow resellers to offer a wider choice to customers and further extend the Ingram Micro software catalogue.

In a single partnership, Zoho has gained access to a huge ecosystem of UK resellers. This could allow Zoho far deeper penetration into the UK market than it has historically. Many organisations turn to Ingram Micro to locate software to resell to customers. With many organisations using Ingram Micro as a trusted provider of software.

Ovidiu Gherghel, Director of Cloud & Cyber Security, UK&I Ingram Micro, commented, “We are excited for the integration of services between Ingram Micro and Zoho. This is a testament to our dedication to bringing the best technological solutions to our clientele across the UK.

“In addition, this partnership shows the growing recognition of Zoho’s value proposition in the UK region. Businesses can now look forward to even greater access and support for Zoho’s Workplace Suite through Ingram Micro’s expansive distribution network.”

A deepening relationship with Ingram Micro

This is not the first distribution relationship that Zoho has agreed with Ingram Micro. The company already has a successful partnership in both the Middle East and Africa. In both those regions it has seen strong growth over the last few years.

Bishan Singh, Head of Channel Ecosystem at Zoho, added, “We have great alignment with Ingram Micro in our quest to help businesses use the right technologies to transform and drive further success. The UK is one of our longest-serving and significant markets, and we are continuing to invest to accelerate our market impact.

“Through this agreement, we look forward to helping many more UK businesses streamline their day-to-day working operations, driving efficiency and enabling effective, faster, and contextual collaboration across teams.”

It will be interesting to see whether Singh can extend the agreement to the rest of Europe, where Ingram Micro has a presence in 25 more countries. Will Zoho also look to sign up Ingram Micro to help expand in the US and the rest of America?

In addition, will Zoho extend the agreement to some of its other applications and suites such as Zoho One?

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Zoho Workplace is one of the most popular suites of applications in Zoho’s portfolio. It has already embedded generative AI into the technology stack. By partnering with Ingram Micro, Zoho gains access to a large number of new prospects that require little direct marketing.

Globally, Ingram Micro has over 26,000 associates, more than 161,000 customers and 1,500 vendor partners. While Zoho does not yet have access to all of these, Ingram Micro has been operating in the UK for a considerable length of time and is well known.

The announcement does not explain how the two firms will collaborate to resell Zoho to UK firms. Zoho Workplace is not yet listed on the Ingram Micro UK Shop, but that should be rectified soon.
