Croatian startup Project 3 Mobility has selected and started to deploy Infor CloudSuite Automotive. This is to better manage its operations as it scales up its organisation. Project 3 Mobility aims to provide autonomous mobility as a service in urban locations.
Backed by Rimac Autombilio, Kia Motors and Infinum, the company is building a three-component autonomous vehicle service for the European market. This consists of an App, a vehicle, and a mobility platform seamlessly integrated into the city’s infrastructure. The company recently received a European Commission-approved grant of €179,5 million for the research development and production of new mobility vehicles and supporting infrastructure.
The company plans to expand its offering to more than 100 cities worldwide. It is based in Zagreb and has an R&D centre in the UK. As the company scaled its organization, it needed an ERP solution that met its requirements, now and in the future.
The company shortlisted IFS, Infor and SAP. However, it selected Infor based on the automotive experience that Infor has, its industry experience and its out-of-the-box functionality. Also, Rimac Group leverages the Infor LN solution. Project 3 is described as a Rimac-affiliated business. It is not known what shareholding the various investors have, though.

The project
In the first phase, Project 3 went live on the human resources elements earlier in 2023. It has now gone live for the finance and procurement functionality in the UK and Croatia. Migrating open invoices, balances and budgets from its legacy environment.
Project 3 intends to roll out Infor CloudSuite Automotive’s manufacturing capabilities once its factory is built. It currently has a growing R&D presence in Warwickshire, England.
Project 3 also aims to offer its services in the UK, with a piece of written evidence submitted to the UK Parliament. This will explain its approach and highlight the need for and support of the comprehensive regulatory framework proposed by the UK and Scottish Law Commissions.
P3 CEO Marko Pejković said, “We are developing a whole new ecosystem for urban autonomous mobility that consists of three key elements – the urban autonomous vehicle, specialized infrastructure and a complete service platform. The realisation of our project will increase efficiency and safety in traffic and achieve a positive impact on the environment and city infrastructure. We are convinced that this project will create significant benefits for Zagreb, where we will launch our first service, and numerous other European cities that are following.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
With the EU backing, as well as that from Rimac, which is partnering with Porsche for its electric vehicle, this company could become a significant player in the urban autonomous vehicle market. That Infor won the opportunity to deploy its software at Project 3 is significant. And indicates that while the software is important, it is the expertise across several industries in the EV market that also hold value. For example, Britishvolt selected Infor CloudSuite Automative at its 38GWh Gigaplant in Cambois, Northumberland, UK.

There is still a way to go before we see autonomous vehicles in cities around Europe. But it is a dream that is very much alive and getting closer to reality. Project 3 hopes to roll out its first service in Zagreb in 2024.
