This week, Microsoft released 57 patches including six that were already being exploited. It included fixing the first Windows Fast FAT File vulnerability since 2022. Microsoft also warned about a phishing campaign using Booking.com as a lure.

Vaultree announced the appointment of Jeremy Lewis as its new Chairman of the Board. The appointment comes as the organisation looks to build on a successful 2024. In 2025, it hopes to scale up revenues and broaden its international customer base. That push was assisted by the launch of VENum, which is designed to address the scalability challenges of existing Full Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) schemes.
360 Privacy has announced a $36 million growth equity investment from FTV Capital. The firm behind a leading digital executive protection platform will use the funds to grow its engineering, customer service, and revenue teams.
WSO2 has released new AI-driven capabilities to automate Identity and Access Management (IAM). They are available in WSO2 Identity Server open-source software (OSS), Asgardeo identity as a service (IDaaS), and WSO2 Private Identity Cloud. In addition to the AI features, the company has also expanded support for its B2B Cloud IAM (CIAM) products.
Appian has released the latest version of the Appian Platform, v25.1. It features significant performance enhancements, improvements to the data fabric, and increased scalability. The data fabric improvement now enables syncing of 10 million rows per record type. As with previous versions, it comes with new AI skills to improve user productivity and new dashboards for monitoring KPIs.

MannageEngine has signed a deal with JBS Foods to standardize the management of JBS Foods’ global technology infrastructure. The deal was driven by the ease of implementation, seamless integrations with third-party tools, improved employee experience, and the 15 years ManageEngine has dedicated to working as a trusted solutions provider to JBS Foods.

National Cyber Security Centre
Winning teams from the National Cyber Security Centre’s 2024/25 CyberFirst Girls competition attended a prize-giving ceremony at Jodrell Bank in Cheshire. Hillcrest School and Sixth Form Centre took home the crown of ‘Top Scoring State Newcomer’, winning a £4,000 prize.
More than 14,500 girls from across the UK’s four regions registered to take part in the 2024/25 competition which aims to inspire more girls to pursue cyber and technology in their education and future careers.
US Department of Justice
Rostislav Panev has been extradited to the United States from Israel. He was being held on charges that he was a developer of the LockBit ransomware group. He was arrested in August, after being charged in May by the U.S.
