Results Celebrus - image credit Pixabay/GeraltCelebrus celebrated strong results for H1 fiscal 2025. Gross profit margin rose to 48%, compared to 37% in H1 2024. Profits rose slightly to $1 million ($0.1 million H1 2024). Total revenue rose to $17.2m (H1 FY24:$16.2m). H1 2025 runs from April 1st to September 30th 2024.

Software revenues rose 22.6% year over year to $11.2 million due to several net new logos and upsell with existing customers. Hardware revenues fell slightly as the company continued its transition to software and SaaS-based revenue. ARR also continued to rise. In H1 2025, it reached $26.2 million, up from H1 2024:$21.3 million.

The company maintains a strong cash position with $25.9 million and no debt. The results are in line with expectations after Celebrus published a trading update in October. As a result, the share price was largely unaffected by the announcement; however, the shares have risen by 33.38% over the last six months.

Bill Bruno, CEO of Celebrus, commented, “We are grateful for the team’s efforts in the first half of this fiscal year to set our organization up for success both this year and in future years. We have been on quite a journey as a business over the past few years, and it has been energizing to see the fruits of that labor starting to be realized across the business and with our customers.

“We continue to focus on how best to deliver value for our customers, while ensuring that our Sales, Delivery, and Customer Success teams are in lockstep across our key accounts. We have also continued to explore potential acquisition targets to enhance the Celebrus platform while continuing to invest in our organic growth initiatives.”

Looking forward

Celebrus is driving growth from existing and net new customers. It revealed some key wins from both H1 and the current quarter. These included a large global airline, a UK energy company, a US financial institution, an existing European retail customer, a bank in Poland, and an expansion within a healthcare customer in the US. Celebrus, with its data solutions with a focus on digital identity, first-party data collection and fraud prevention, like many other vendors, struggles to get permission to name customers. These are substantial wins, though.

While the company revealed a slowdown in customer decisions in the last couple of months due to the uncertain global geopolitical situation, it feels that there has been a positive movement in recent weeks. However, with the recent turmoil in South Korea, will that impact decisions again? Despite this, it has seen strong opportunities for the remainder of the year, and the board expects to hit revenue targets for the full year.

In recent months, it has also announced several partnerships, including Merkle and OnMarc. In Q3, it announced a partnership with Optimizely. As these partnerships ramp up, they should provide new pipeline and revenue opportunities as the year unfolds. Though many may not hit until the next fiscal year. It will be interesting to see the outlook for FY2026.

Bruno continues to drive change

Bruno has already led significant change in the organisation. Starting in the US, where he was first hired, the firm has expanded its vertical market coverage, and the new wins reflect this. While he has focused on the top line, the bottom line has also been improved., the firm has also migrated from several data centres. Thus transforming its operations to the cloud and achieving cost savings by doing so. The firm has also simplified its network and invested in stronger security. One of these enhancements was to strengthen PII protection.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Another strong set-up results from Celebrus, with a degree of confidence in the future. While external geopolitical issues may have an impact, revenue increases may be delayed rather than removed.

The firm continues to strengthen its platform and has a presence at industry shows around the world as it looks to compete with rivals. Celebrus spoke on stage at the Martech Summit and the CX Healthcare Exchange East. It also attended the Fraud Prevention Summit.

In addition Bruno mentioned the acquisition that Celebrus continues to look for. Will Celebrus get any closer to finding the right target before the end of the year?
