John Ramsay

John started his career at Linklaters working as a corporate lawyer and living the fast-paced lifestyle that came with working at a magic circle law firm. Influenced heavily as a teenager by a decade of living with dementia in the family, John decided to switch careers, co-founding the start-up Shift8 in 2016. Shift8 specialised in interactive light activities for people with dementia and rapidly became the market leader within the industry. After a short time away to start a family, John has now returned to the care industry as Managing Director of Social-Ability; a social venture with ambitious goals of revolutionising care activities for people with cognitive challenges. John is also a member of the ISO committee for ageing societies.
