ERP testing company, Original Software, has joined the IFS ISV Partner Programme. The company says it brings its AI-led, code-free testing platform to the global ecosystem of IFS Cloud customers, partners and system integrators.
The partnership comes at a pivotal moment for the IFS community. Original Software conducted research during a recent webinar. It revealed that 53% of IFS customers are currently running on-premise environments but expect to move to IFS Cloud within the next 24 months. The remainder are already operating on IFS Cloud.
The research also highlighted the need for a more modern approach to testing. Despite accelerating cloud adoption, 92% of respondents still rely on manual testing methods – Excel spreadsheets, email chains and screenshots. Only 8% use dedicated testing tools. Notably, none of the respondents reported using automated testing solutions.
Organisations are embracing more frequent cloud updates. However, continuous software change and manual testing approaches are increasingly unable to keep pace. The research indicates this creates greater risk around upgrades, business continuity and compliance.
Cloud ERP is transforming pace of software change
Carl Andrews, CEO of Original Software, said, “Joining the IFS ISV Partner Programme is a natural step for Original Software.
“Cloud ERP has transformed the pace of software change, but many organisations are still relying on testing processes designed for a different era. Too often, critical testing is managed through spreadsheets, email chains and screenshots, making it difficult to keep pace with updates.”
Welcoming the partnership, Thusitha Gunaratne, Vice President, Product & Partner Strategy at IFS, said: “Original Software’s code-free, AI-led testing platform is a strong addition to the ecosystem. It supports our customers as they implement, upgrade and continuously evolve their IFS Cloud environment.”
“Customers moving to IFS Cloud need confidence that critical business processes will continue to work after every update. Our platform enables business and IT teams to test faster, reduce risk and embrace continuous change without the overhead of traditional automation,” added Andrews.
Original Software’s platform supports automated testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, process documentation and test management, helping organisations accelerate implementations, de-risk upgrades and maintain operational resilience. Customers have reported reducing testing effort by up to 90% in targeted scenarios.
Enterprise Times: What this means for businesses
As businesses move more critical ERP systems to the cloud, the pace of change is increasing. As a result, traditional manual testing methods are becoming harder to sustain. For IFS customers, this means upgrades. The challenge is that continuous updates can create greater risk around business continuity, compliance and operational disruption if testing remains dependent on spreadsheets, email chains and screenshots.
Original Software’s partnership with IFS reflects a wider need for businesses to modernise testing through automation and code-free tools. This enables IT and business teams to validate core processes faster, reduce upgrade risk and support cloud transformation with confidence.
