Planon has appointed Klaas Bosma, MRE MRICS, as Chief Operating Officer for its Planon Real Estate business line. He assumes responsibility for the role from Stephan Mau, who, according to LinkedIn, remains with the firm in the role of General Manager of Central Europe, notably the DACH region.
The appointment signals the importance of the real estate sector to Planon. It demonstrates a greater commitment to the sector with a desire to further integrate and scale its comprehensive real estate software solutions to create an ecosystem specifically tailored to the needs of the stakeholders within Real Estate, such as estate owners, investors, and developers across Europe.
Bosma has been tasked with deepening the integration and combination of Planon solutions and services. He will also aim to deliver innovative solutions and services that enhance efficiency, performance, and sustainability for clients.

Who is Klaas Bosma?
Bosma has over 25 years of experience working in the real estate industry. He was previously Managing Director at Reasult, a Planon company where he had worked for seven years. He joined the Planon group after the acquisition of Reasult in 2021.
Before Planon, he spent one and a half years at CBRE as Director of Strategic Consulting. He joined CBRE from Twynstra Gudde, where he spent ten years as a Senior Advisor of Real Estate.
Bosma has a qualification in Finance and accounting from Nyenrode Business Universty.

Promotion or appointment? It is more a promotion and recognition of Bosma’s value to the wider organisation. This is a sensible promotion and brings a level of organisational experience to the important role of COO. It will be interesting to see what innovations Bosma is able to bring to customers in the coming months. Will Planon announce anything at MIPIM?
Mau is now free to focus on expanding the business in Central Europe. This expansion of the leadership team by Ankerstjerne shows the importance of Real Estate and the DACH region to the company.
