Emma Burstow

Emma Burstow began her career as an English teacher in a London secondary school. Having always had an interest in technology, she explored free coding courses when she became a mother, and found Umbraco, the open-source .NET CMS platform. Soon afterwards, Emma changed careers to become a full-time web developer with a London agency. She was so impressed by the support and friendliness of Umbraco’s open-source community that she applied for a role with the company. A decade later, Emma is an experienced .NET developer, and Microsoft MVP, based at Umbraco HQ in Odense, Denmark, who spends her time championing the work of open-source software contributors and holding the door open for others to join the Umbraco community.
