Doors Appointment Image by Esa Riutta from PixabayFloQast, the accounting transformation platform, has appointed John Phillips as General Manager EMEA. He picks up the role vacated by Adam Zoucha, who has moved back to the US and was promoted to SVP of Customer Success & Growth at FloQast. Phillips is British and demonstrates FloQast’s growth in the region and its commitment to building and scaling a European operation following its $100 Series E funding round in April 2024. Phillips brings more than 20 years of experience in software sales leadership.

Zoucha moved back to the US in April to become the SVP of International before transitioning to the new role as Phillips joined last month. He has been with FloQast for a decade and was one of its first sales team members. He headed up the initial expansion into the EMEA market, overseeing sales, customer success, partnerships and go-to-market operations with a focus on providing the highest level of service to clients.

Mike Whitmire, Co-Founder and CEO at FloQast, CPA, said, “John’s impressive experience in the office of the CFO, coupled with his knowledge of our partner channels, makes him an exceptional fit to drive our mission in EMEA. As FloQast continues to grow globally, John’s leadership will be crucial in supporting our customers and partners across these diverse markets.”

Phillips joins from Zuora where he was SVP Sales & GM Europe, Middle East and Africa for over nine years before being promoted to SVP Global Alliances. At the leading Subscription Management vendor, he worked closely with CFOs in client organisations. FloQast hopes he can leverage those relationships to generate a commitment to FloQast and its solutions.

Prior to Zuora, Phillips held sales leadership positions at OpenText, Cordys, Montavista, EMC and Documentation. He has helped scale organisations that generated revenues of between $9-100 million. At MontaVista, he broke sales records and oversaw sales growth of 300%.

He has deep experience across multiple industries and with FloQast having a cross-industry appeal. With his experience of alliances at Zuora, he has quickly gained an in-depth understanding of the FloQast partner ecosystem. That ecosystem includes consulting firms, private equity, and partnerships like AWS.

In a LinkedIn post, Phillips commented, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as GM Europe, Middle East & Africa at FloQast!

“Clearly it takes a lot of the right ingredients to create an organisation that you are willing to commit so much of your career to and from which you will get so much satisfaction. I suspect such occurrences are actually quite rare. But I knew what to look for and I am so excited to say I believe this is what I have found here at FloQast.

“It’s founded of course on people and culture. Dynamic, mission-oriented, for sure. But, maybe more importantly, a real focus on driving positive outcomes for their customers without compromise. Add in a great vision and strategy around Finance Transformation and some damn good software, and you get this high-growth company. And what of the European business? The foundations are in place, built by a committed and inspired team. But it’s really just the beginning! What a time to join!”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean?

FloQast goes from strength to strength. It continues to develop and expand its product portfolio. Last year, it introduced the FloQast Accounting Transformation Platform. The platform now consists of solutions such as FloQast Close, FloQast Compliance Management, and FloQast Ops. These solutions are constantly developed, leveraging AI technology to deliver value to customers and a return on investment for clients.

With Phillips now at the helm in EMEA, it will be interesting to see how he expands and scales the operation in the UK and beyond. There are several roles available in Europe for Business Development, Customer Success and Sales. The company now has 350 global customers, and FloQast hopes that it will grow faster in EMEA.
