ZenRows, the fast-growing data extraction startup, has appointed Alina Sharapova as Director of Engineering. She will lead the growing, multidisciplinary engineering team. Sharapova will be responsible for driving the structure, processes, and innovation of the engineering team. And scaling it as the firm looks to grow. Having raised $1.15 million from 4Founders Capital, Bynd Venture Capital, and Athos Capital in its first round of funding in 2022. The firm is growing rapidly, having doubled employee numbers in the last six months.

Who is Alina Sharapova
Sharapova joins from Amazon Web Services, where she spent five years as a Software Development Manager. She has fifteen years of experience in software development, design, and engineering. At AWS and in her previous role as Technical Director at Ada Health, she led teams of developers.
She was also the tech lead at N26, the German Digital Bank, during its early years and worked as a software engineer at other software firms, such as Paysend, Qiwi, and CJSC “Tander”. Sharapova graduated from Kuban State University in Computer Technology and Mathematics.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean?
ZenRows continues to hire with four open positions in its Engineering team, as Sharapova starts to expand the team. With more than 20,000 customers already, it will be interesting to see whether the firm decides to raise more funds or is able to continue its expansion based on its own growth.
In Sharapova, the firm has an experienced engineering lead who has worked for both large firms and smaller startups. It will be interesting to see how she helps develop the product and engineering team over the next few months and years.
