Tomás O'Leary

Tomás O'Leary is the CEO and founder of Origina, an independent provider of third-party software support, and a member of the Forbes Technology Council. Born and raised in Dublin, he started his first business while still at school and built another running events at Trinity College before joining IBM in the mid-1990s, where he spent the best part of a decade in enterprise sales. He went on to build and lose a software distribution business during the 2008 crash – an experience that shaped his views on vendor power and the small guys who get crushed by it – before founding Origina in 2012. He has spent the years since arguing that the enterprise technology industry needs the same basic rules of the road that every other major industry takes for granted, and is a leading voice in the global right-to-repair movement, having engaged with legislators in the US, the EU and Ireland.
