ANYbotics, a global leader in AI-driven robotic inspection solutions, announced the appointment of Thierry Obédé as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). He will take responsibility for all commercial operations. He succeeds Enzo Wälchli, who stepped down as Chief Commercial Officer in December. In his role, Obédé now has similar responsibilities to those which Wälchli had. Wälchli remains an advisor to the firm, according to his LinkedIn profile. Still, he has just founded Operator Circle, an operator-led venture capital firm backing Deeptech scaleups with CHF 250k–1M operator tickets.
Obédé has over 30 years of experience and will lead sales, marketing, business development, customer success, and go-to-market strategy. His role will be critical as the business looks to scale following the additional USD 20 million in funding it raised from existing and new investors last year. In total, the firm has raised over €50 million in funds. The most recent funding came from Climate Investment.
Obédé will lead the global growth across several asset-intensive sectors, including Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Energy & Utilities, and Metals & Materials. He will be critical to ANYbotics success in the coming months.
Péter Fankhauser, CEO & Co-Founder at ANYbotics, said: “Thierry has consistently led advancements in industrial technology, from Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management to Industrial IoT and AI-driven predictive maintenance. Joining ANYbotics is a natural next step on that journey.
“Robotics-based inspection brings these fields together and will define industrial performance in the coming decade. As we move from innovation to global deployment, Thierry’s expertise in scaling revenue will be key to delivering lasting value to our customers worldwide. I look forward to working with him as we expand our reach and deliver quality at scale.”
Who is Thierry Obédé

Obédé joins ANYbotics from Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence, the industrial giant bought from Infor in 2021 for $2.75 billion. He had joined Infor as Vice-President EME, Head of Sales for Infor Enterprise Asset Management, less than a year before the acquisition. At Infor, then Hexagon, he led the transition of the sales teams to a recurring SaaS model for its End-to-End Autonomous Industrial Inspection Platform.
Prior to Infor, he held sales leadership positions at Siemens, GE Digital and GE Intelligent Platforms. He also spent a further five years at Infor earlier in his sales career. Additionally he held sales leadership positions at Ventyx and Siveco Group, where he served as Services Manager for 8 years before transitioning into Sales.
Obédé has a Master’s degree in International Business, Trade and Commerce from the Centre d’Etudes Supérieures du Commerce International.
Thierry Obédé, Chief Revenue Officer at ANYbotics, commented, “After 30 years in industrial tech, I know when a company is solving the right problem at the right moment, and that’s ANYbotics.
“We go far beyond just selling robots; we deliver an end-to-end solution that automates complex inspections and transforms live field data into actionable intelligence. By feeding directly into Asset Performance Management, we drive critical decisions that define safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
“For asset-intensive industries, the scale of assets to monitor, the pressure to reduce human exposure to hazardous environments, and the cost of unplanned downtime have made autonomous inspection a strategic imperative, not an option.
“I joined ANYbotics because the technology is world-class, the team is exceptional with an unmatched passion for excellence, the mission is critical, and the opportunity to make the ANYbotics platform the new global standard across heavy industry is one I could not walk away from.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Obédé joins at an exciting time for ANYbotics as it looks to accelerate growth for its expanding portfolio of inspection robots. His experience at Hexagon will have delivered experience across several of the heavy industry sectors that ANYbotics sees as its target market. Those relationships he built within the industry during his time in the EAM market are now valuable to ANYbotics.
ANYbotics continues to build a worldwide partner network, with Yokogawa in Japan the most recent. It will be interesting to see how Obédé evolves the go-to-market strategy for ANYbotics and see whether it can achieve its growth ambitions for 2026.
