In the UK market, BM Group is recognised as the leading software vendor. It offers its own applications, such as Evonet and Evolution, under its Business Micros brand and also resells Logikal, provided by Orgadata.

The two companies, and, in BM Group’s case, its several brands, will now consolidate more formally under the Forterro branding. This makes sense, it should reduce marketing costs and while both names are well known in the industry, combined, their significant market share should quickly enable further growth.

A new name in Fenestration

The two companies were acquired by Forterro within the last year, with Forterro completing its acquisition of Orgadata in March 2025, following its acquisition of BM Group in January 2025. Combined, the organisations form part of the new windows and doors business unit (fenestration) group that Dean Forbes, CEO of Forterro, described in a recent podcast with Enterprise Times.

Within the Forterro group, the combined solutions, along with the integrated portfolio of other applications that Forterro now has, mean that it can support companies across their entire value chain, from planning and costing through to production and process integration.

Dean Hodges, Sales Director at Forterro, commented: “The new brand identity sends a clear message: we are no longer operating as a standalone company, but as part of a unified organisation with shared resources and a clear vision.”

Bernd Hillbrands, Founder of Orgadata and Head of the windows and doors business unit within Forterro, added: “For all our customers, this means combining our deep industry expertise with Forterro’s international strength.

“This allows us to accelerate investment in cloud technologies, expand support structures and develop solutions that simplify processes, grow alongside the business and ensure long-term competitiveness.”

A leader in fenestration

The business unit is now a leader in the windows, doors and facades segment. The combined group is significantly larger. It now has access to Forterro’s resources, including expertise in cloud computing and supplementary applications. These include Targit, its BI and analytics acquisition and Inology, its most recent acquisition that offers expense software.

It means that the business unit can focus on developing its core functionality, with the knowledge that add-on applications such as expenses and analytics are best-in-class and will be integrated seamlessly into the technology stack. It will free up the team to innovate within its industry segment and to secure and expand its global footprint.

No change for customers

For customers, little will change. The existing relationships and support structure remain in place. Although branding will no doubt change over time across contracts and communications. It will be interesting to see at what point Forterro might consolidate support and service functions.

However, Forterro remains committed to supporting companies in advancing their digital processes in a successful and self-directed way. There is no indication that anything will change quickly.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

That Forterro is rebranding these companies makes sense. Unlike most of the other organisations within its portfolio, BM Group and Orgadata do not stand alone. They have been combined into the new fenestration unit. This means that combining the two brands into a single name makes sense.

Also, it should see the four brands BM Group has sunset into a single name. The software application brands will likely remain, and the industry will continue to recognise these.

It will be interesting to see whether a successful rebranding will also initiate changes in the rest of the group. Forterro has several brands, still mainly under their original brand names. As Forterro itself becomes more recognised, will it seek to change its other branding as well?
