Last week, Enterprise Times attended two conferences, and much of our content focused on them. In Barcelona, Workday hosted 6,000 EMEA customers at its Rising event, which saw more announcements for its European customers than ever before.
Gerrit Kazmaier, President, Product & Technology, Workday, announced the expansion of Workday GO. Workday Go is a go-to-market product for medium-sized companies. Initially, the solution will be made available in February 2026 across the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, and France.
Workday also launched the Workday EU Sovereign Cloud. With this, Workday aims to deliver full EU data residency for its next-generation Enterprise AI platform. It will enable organisations in both the private and public sectors to leverage the Workday Illuminate platform. The facility will be operated by EU personnel and will be available to customers in Q2 2026.
Workday announced the acquisition of Pipedream, a low-code, no-code integration platform for AI agents. The firm also announced how its presence in Europe has grown significantly. It now has more than 4,250 employees in 19 countries, reflecting its growing investment in local talent and partnerships.
It recently opened a €175 million AI Centre of Excellence in Dublin, a forthcoming regional office in Dubai. Also, new sales and marketing teams in Warsaw to better serve Central and Eastern Europe, and it has just moved to a larger office in Milan, Italy.
OpenText and Google are deepening their partnership to deliver new solutions. They are building new solutions to support customers as they deploy AI and address data privacy. They will also support sovereign cloud infrastructure.
OpenText unveiled its next-generation AI Data Platform. It is positioning it as a bridge between data management and AI. To achieve that, enterprises need to ensure that AI does not leak sensitive data. That requires a secure platform, one that is data-aware and can detect private data. It also needs to be scalable to support current and future AI projects.

Rootstock Software has announced the acquisition of its gold partner, Praxis Solutions. Praxis has a longstanding relationship with Rootstock. The firm has implemented Rootstock at several companies, including Matouk, Trace Medical and Intuvie Innovate. More recently, it was selected to implement a Rootstock solution at Petty Products.

Azul announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to receive a majority strategic investment from Thoma Bravo, a leading software investment firm. As part of the transaction, Azul’s existing investors, Vitruvian Partners and Lead Edge Capital, will reinvest significant new capital and retain minority stakes alongside Azul’s employees.

CPiO revealed how it implemented a major Sage 200 Professional upgrade at Mid Wales-based innovator Invertek Drives to improve operational efficiency.

Workday also introduced a new global developer network that opens access to Workday AI tools and training. Helping people around the world learn, build, and certify new skills. The company also announced Google Cloud as the newest partner to join Workday Data Cloud. Giving customers a secure, zero-copy way to bring Workday HR and finance data to BigQuery for AI-powered insights.

Within Zoho Backstage, Zoho has introduced two new modules: Exhibitor management, which offers unlimited exhibitor listings.
The second module is Exhibitor Pro, which delivers premium interactive experiences (and is an add-on license). This license unlocks Self-service booth management and Lead capture. And provides attendee engagement, including the ability to book meetings and chat directly with attendees.
