Precisely has released updates to its Automate Evolve platform that expand its automation capabilities for SAP solutions. These latest updates are focused on automation of SAP Fiori and the SAP GUI for HTML user interfaces. For companies with hybrid SAP environments, this builds on the goals from the launch of Automate Evolve that took place in June 2025.
SAP customers have until 2027 to move off its ECC platform and onto S/4HANA. As part of that migration, it is an opportunity to add automation to their ERP processes. In its June launch, Precisely added AI to speed up automation. Now it has gone further.
The latest updates include a no-code/low-code platform that provides governed workflow automations. These run across both ECC and S/4HANA environments and cover all SAP ERP interfaces.
The key benefit from this, according to the announcement, is that it eliminates context switching when managing SAP workflows in complex environments. For administrators, that will reduce the risk of errors and, importantly, support scalable automation.

Why is this important for SAP customers?
As already noted, by 2027, SAP customers need to have moved off of ECC. For the majority, that means migrating to S/4HANA, although some will potentially take the opportunity to move to other solutions.
For those staying with SAP, that migration will be complex. Multiple interfaces, integrations and user interfaces will need to be ported. Developers will be busy looking to rationalise their code and identify potential issues which will require significant testing.
On November 11th, Precisely and the American SAP Users’ Group (ASUG) will launch the Transforming SAP Processes Through Automation: 2026 Trends and Challenges report. Some of the early numbers show the scale of the challenge organisations face. “54% of companies continue to struggle with mixed user interface environments.” With teams managing the SAP GIU, Fiori and GUI for HTML, that will only get worse.
The new features and the AI-enabled automation in Automate Evolve will help reduce the workload and the problems. It will also improve how automation is adopted inside organisations, while reducing manual effort. For compliance teams, greater automation will improve the ability to audit and secure data and systems.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean?
All software vendors know that when customers are migrating between systems, there will be serious challenges. Those challenges allow customers to consider other solutions, thereby losing the vendor that business. But there are ways of minimising that risk. One is to make migration as simple as possible, while giving them new capabilities.
What is interesting here is that it isn’t SAP announcing those tools for easing migration with additional functionality. Instead, it is Precisely. It doesn’t matter what the relationship is between vendors, when someone else steps up to make life easier for your customers, it gets noticed.
For Precisely, this is the second of several iterations we are likely to see between now and the switch-off date for SAP ECC. Many of those customers are likely to already be using other Precisely tools for data quality as they move to AI-enabled solutions. That existing relationship will make it easier for them to adopt Automate Evolve as part of their tool platforms.
It will be interesting to see what else Precisely identifies as needed by SAP customers over the next 15 months. Expect more releases and functionality as the deadline for moving to S/4HANA gets closer.
