Last week, there was a seeming rush to get news out before August, with few vendors planning announcements over the next few weeks.
NetSuite made several announcements at SuiteConnect Japan as it aims to target the Japanese market.
Acquisitions
Gainsight announced the acquisition of UpdateAI. It is the fourth acquisition of the year following those of Skilljar, Erica Kuhl Consulting and ModerateKit.
Appointment
HiBob has announced the appointment of Sophie Chesters as its Chief Marketing Officer.
Tricentis has appointed Eran Sher as Chief Product Officer. Sher joined the company as part of the acquisition of SeaLights Technologies Ltd. last year, where he had served as CEO and Co-Founder.

Boku unveiled strong H1 2025 results, with revenue increasing 34% to $63 million (a 37% increase in constant currency).
Freshworks has entered into a partnership with McLaren Racing. It will become a sponsor of the Formula 1 Team. With its logo displayed on both the Formula 1 Cars and the team kit during the Belgian Grand Prix. McLaren will also utilise Freshservice, the Freshworks AI-powered IT Service management solution. With the aim of enhancing its global IT operations.
Unit4 issued a business update for H1 2025. With several product innovations, net new customers, and several migrations to the cloud of legacy customers.

At SuiteConnect Japan, NetSuite revealed that JVCKENWOOD Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics and communications equipment, is using Oracle NetSuite to support its operations.

FourKites has announced several significant AI-powered enhancements to its platform for European customers. These include three new digital agents and a new AI-powered analytics solution for supply chain insights.
LexisNexis Legal & Professional has launched its new product, Protégé. Initially available in the US, the new capability is now available in the UK. It is available within the Lexis+ AI legal workflow solution and Lexis Create+ for legal AI drafting in Microsoft Word.
Rootstock Software has announced the general availability of its Summer ’25 release. The update features three key themes and introduces a new Agentic AI ERP agent powered by Agentforce, the Salesforce Agentic AI platform.

Azul and the ITAM Forum surveyed 500 ITAM and software asset management (SAM) professionals. It shows that 27% of respondents admit to spending more than $500,000 each year rectifying software licensing issues around their Oracle Java usage.
New research commissioned by Esendex suggests more than half of UK industries are on the brink of a digital skills crisis. The report suggests the demand for automation and AI roles is rapidly outpacing the workforce’s readiness. The findings are part of the ‘Automation & AI Readiness Report’. This report analysed automation and AI job listings and training course availability across 17 key industries.
Panasonic TOUGHBOOK has published research highlighting the risks organisations face if they have not migrated to Windows 11 by the specified date. The Whitepaper, ‘Navigating the Shift: The Business Case for Upgrading to Windows 11‘, examines the options available to organisations with Windows 10 devices.
Research from SAP Emarsys suggests over half of UK consumers (57%) have little to no trust in brands to use AI responsibly. At the same time, 76% say they lack confidence in the data privacy of AI, a 41% drop since 2024. The AI in Retail Global Report: Advancing in the Engagement Era reveals a growing disconnect between retailers and online shoppers.

Cybage Software published three more case studies for unnamed clients last week, as it continues to publicise its success. In the first instance, it helped a full-service IT solutions provider update and consolidate its systems into a single, cloud-based architecture. It introduced a centralised reporting system. It integrated ConnectWise to enhance the support experience and handle service requests efficiently during periods of high customer inquiry volumes.
The second project involved integrating Gen AI capabilities with RPA for a leading fleet management platform. Cybage Software utilised Gen AI to enhance AI-driven qualification and analysis, assessing bid relevance and providing clients with informed recommendations for accelerated decision-making.
Thirdly, Cybage Software led the cloud-native transformation for a global data and technology leader. Modernising its legacy technology stack and architecture to enhance scalability, agility, and accelerate time-to-market. The client operates in over 80 countries, partnering with some of the most well-known brands across various industries.

IFS, the parent company of IFS Ultimo, announced H1 results. The group achieved 30% ARR growth, and its Agentic AI solutions helped solidify industrial leadership. Ultimo was flagged in the announcement as having strong demand for its AI-powered solutions.

More language support
NetSuite announced additional translation capabilities. Text Enhance Translate enables users to instantly translate a field or a portion of text within the NetSuite product. Whether that’s a vendor invoice, a customer support response, or a job description in an HR record.
Text Enhance Translate supports over 20 languages: Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, French (Canada), German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese.
Extends capabilities in Japan
At SuiteConnect Tokyo, NetSuite unveiled a range of updates tailored to the Japanese customer base. While several of these have been announced for other regions, it means localisations for the Japanese market are complete. The announcement included:
- New AI capabilities including NetSuite Prompt Studio, NetSuite Text Enhance for custom fields, NetSuite Financial Exception Management, generative AI for SuiteScript API, and NetSuite Advanced Customer Support (ACS) AI Playbook
- NetSuite Field Service Management
- Availability of NetSuite SuiteSuccess Anything-as-a-Service (XaaS) Edition, SuiteSuccess Wholesale Distribution Edition, and SuiteSuccess Social Impact Edition
- Enhancements to SuiteBilling
- NetSuite E-Invoicing, including JP PINT support and advanced localisations in NetSuite, enables customers in Japan to improve the speed and accuracy of invoicing and efficiently address Qualified Invoice System (QIS) standards
- A new licensing model is introduced, featuring task-specific licenses for NetSuite Warehouse Management System (WMS) and NetSuite Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Oracle Redwood Design to enhance the user experience

Pulseway announced version 9.20 of its RMM. This release introduces the Automation Workflow Cooper Copilot. This innovative feature is part of their ongoing commitment to AI advancements and is designed to transform how you create workflows. Users can generate workflows simply by typing their desired automation outcome. Thus, eliminating the need to start from a blank canvas or having explicit scripting skills.
R Systems
R Systems announced it is empowering its engineering ecosystem with Cursor, an AI-powered code editor developed by Anysphere. The companies 1,000+ AI-focused engineers plan to embed AI across every phase of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Thus, enabling faster, smarter, and more scalable software development.
As part of this collaboration, R Systems will establish a dedicated Co-Innovation Lab focused on advancing AI-first software engineering practices. The Co-innovation Lab will roll out a repeatable AI-SDLC Framework with playbooks that inject AI into coding, testing, documentation, DevOps and project-management workflows.
R Systems is equipping 1,000+ engineers with Cursor-powered workflows to accelerate its goal of strengthening OptimaAI, R Systems’ proprietary AI suite. The AI-SDLC approach is designed to improve delivery velocity by ~30%, reduce defect density by 25%, and halve engineer onboarding time.

Zoho Recruit
The company has published a blog detailing the improvements the company has made to Zoho Recruit since the beginning of 2025. Updates include:
- The Screening Bot automates first-level candidate screening and saves recruiter hours.
- Candidates can now apply directly from SEEK and LinkedIn, resulting in increased conversion rates.
- Create and personalise forms using form rules to tailor candidate journeys based on their responses.
- Enable Federated Login and MFA to add an extra layer of security to your candidate portal.
Zoho invests in a Chip Manufacturer
Having pulled its plans to invest in its own chip manufacturing plant, Zoho has now led the INR 107 crore Series A funding round of Netrasemi. Netrasemi is an Edge AI semiconductor technology company building system-on-chip (SOC) products.
