Europe Image by Hands off my tags! Michael Gaida from PixabaySafe Software has announced a major expansion into Europe. It is planning to expand its footprint in Ireland and the UK. The strategic expansion follows a successful 2024. Which saw it expand its partner network in Europe and add a total of 345 new customers. Earlier this year, it also announced multilingual capability for its platform. With additional support initially for German, Dutch, and French to support the expansion into Europe.

It has already set up a legal entity in Ireland. And is currently exploring its options for a legal entity in the UK. After several years of growth, the company is looking to boost its revenue growth in Europe. It will support the partners that already exist in the region. It is aiming to achieve $250 million in revenue by 2028. This step will help ensure that the target is achieved.

Don Murray, CEO of Safe Software, commented, “Our customers are tackling complex, high-volume data challenges across industries, and they rely on our FME Platform, from Form to Flow to Realize, to turn data into action.

“By expanding into the UK and the EU, we’re both strengthening support for our growing customer base and deepening collaboration with our partners, ensuring faster response times, tailored solutions, and end-to-end success throughout the entire data journey.”

The Safe Software European Operations

The new operations will act as hubs for customer and partner support, innovation, and increased collaboration across the region. Enterprise Times asked Safe Software about whether they would add a direct sales team in the region.

They responded, “Safe Software has a partner network across Europe and will communicate any updates to its European expansion plans.”

However, when asked about the roles they are looking to hire for, they responded, “The business expects to hire customer support, partner relationship management personnel, and sales team members.”

The first and perhaps most important hire has not been done. With Safe Software currently working with local advisors to identify someone to lead the European operation. There are currently no open roles on the careers page (as of writing). Despite the press release stating the firm is hiring for open roles. The company noted, “Safe Software is working on scoping positions for the UK and Ireland and will post them as soon as they are available.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

This is a significant expansion by Safe Software as it looks to roll out its platform across the globe. Based in Canada, it is the first overseas expansion, but may be followed by another in the ANZ region. Last year, it added partners in New Zealand, Australia and the USA.

No doubt, it will soon start formal operations in those regions and perhaps open its first office outside of Canada as it brings its data platform to a wider audience. The firm already claims 25,000 customers across 121 countries, and it is now scaling its operation to support those customers locally.
