Automate Evolve from Precisely is the only automation platform designed to digitise strategic data processes for SAP ERP. It helps organisations to automate data processes to improve the quality of data held within SAP environments. The leader in data integrity has now added a new AI-powered feature to the solution, Intelligent Autocomplete.
Intelligent Autocomplete leverages AI to help pre-populate hundreds of required fields using historical data and predefined rules. For materials management data within SAP, it can improve data quality, reduce errors and significantly reduce the manual work previously required.
The new Intelligent Autocomplete feature is available to early adopters, and Precisely is identifying the benefits it delivers. It is another example of how Precisely is leveraging AI across the data integrity suite. The announcement came as Precisely holds the virtual component of Trust 25. This is a series of virtual and physical events it is holding this year. The firm made various other announcements today, including several for the Data Integrity Suite.
Intelligent Automation solves a major pain point
Intelligent Automation was specifically designed to address the challenge of Material Master Creation. With constant new product introductions and changes, the process can be highly complex and time-consuming when completed manually. Hundreds of business data rules are often built into the system to help prevent data errors.
Even when using forms created in Evolve to help simplify the process, it can still be onerous for users. The new feature works by users entering a few key fields specific to their organisation. Intelligent Automate then uses an algorithm specific to each client to help autocomplete and populate other fields within the Evolve form.
It can complete 300 further fields across different application screens. The new feature is applicable not only to material master data. It can also be used for use cases with deterministic data fields, such as customer and vendor master data records.
Intelligent Automation benefits material management data entry the most. Each piece of entered data comes with a confidence score. It ensures the user can validate any lower confidence scores, reducing the amount of time they might otherwise have spent completing the multi-step task of filling out the data.
Chris Hall, Chief Product Officer at Precisely, commented, “In most SAP ERP environments, creating a material record can be an error-prone and time-consuming process.
“Intelligent Autocomplete dramatically simplifies this by using proprietary algorithms to analyse a company’s master data model, predict the most likely values, and auto-populate the records. The more it’s used, the more intelligent and accurate it becomes.”
The constant evolution of Automate Evolve
Precisely has continually improved Automate Evolve. Introducing new functionality to the platform to assist SAP users in automating and easing the burden of data management. Last year, it announced that Precisely Automate Studio supported SAP Fiori.
That included SAP applications using Fiori GUI for HTML and SAP GUI. The new functionality enables organisations using SAP Fiori to improve data collection, validation, and movement for use with SAP S/4HANA.
Earlier this year, it expanded the Automate SAP Data API. The update introduced new capabilities to streamline mass data uploads and improve API reporting. Enhancements simplified the end-to-end process between SAP ERP and other enterprise platforms. It helped organisations increase business agility by leveraging automation tools such as RPA Bots, to easily organise mass data uploads across any number of SAP ERP environments.
Hall added, “We’re focused on delivering practical AI that solves real business problems. With Intelligent Autocomplete, we’re transforming the way SAP users interact with complex systems – bringing speed, accuracy, and confidence to one of the most fundamental ERP tasks. It’s a major step forward in our commitment to innovation and customer-centric automation.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean?
Precisely continues to enhance its solutions to assist SAP customers. This latest AI-powered update from Precisely will reduce manual work experienced by SAP users, including those already using Automate Evolve. For those still entering data manually or even using spreadsheets to update data, they may wish to consider the ROI that Precisely Automate can now offer.
With Precisely recently being named a PartnerEdge Build partner, SAP’s recognition is a significant step for the company as it proves its partnership with SAP is strengthening. SAP recognises the value of its solutions to its customer base. The new status should give Precisely access to more SAP technology and a wider set of customers than ever before.
