We published several podcasts this week. David Malan, Sales Director UK and Ireland at DocuWare, talks about Intelligent Document Processing. We spoke about how it has evolved from simple capture solutions to a product that captures data and then automates the processes that the data is used for. It is intelligently evolving and learning as more use cases are discovered.
Enterprise Times spoke to Michael Brandl, the EVP responsible for the EMEA region at Infios (rebranded from Körber Supply Chain Software), Suresh Mamunuru, the SVP of Supply Chain Logistics at Cybage Software, and David Houser, a supply chain expert who has worked for both companies at a senior level during a long and distinguished career. The conversation moved through the trends, challenges and solutions for modern supply chains.
At Infosecurity Europe, Enterprise Times talked with Bronwyn Boyle, who, in addition to her role as CISO at PPRO, is EVP of Resilient Communities at Cybermindz. She spoke about the need for mental resilience support in cybersecurity.
Enterprise Times also spoke with James Morris OBE, CEO of the CSBR, about the UK Cybersecurity and Resilience Bill and its challenges. The CSBR recently published a policy note on the bill. In this conversation, Morris expands on that note and addresses some other key issues that the bill faces, especially in implementation.

Forterro published a case study revealing that Agrigem, one of the UK’s biggest distributors of plant protection products, has grown turnover by 80% and increased profit margins by 40% after deploying Orderwise.
Dave Best, Operations Director, Agrigem, commented, “We were in desperate need of greater efficiencies and to streamline our processes. We had ambitious growth plans, and the set-up at the time was not going to support that growth. Not only is Orderwise inherently scalable, but it has all the functionality we required to get on top of our operational organisation.”
“Investing in the right technology can set a business up for long-term success, and Orderwise undoubtedly falls into that category. Riverina Water, a local government water utility based in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, has reported a strong return on investment from the first phase implementation of Infor CloudSuite Public Sector. After going live in July 2023, the company has seen four major benefits.
- After deploying a self-service portal for meter reading, there has been a significant reduction in manual effort internally. And a more than six-day improvement in certificate turnaround time for customers.
- It has significantly reduced the manual handling of customer requests. It has opened up the opportunity to analyse data such as response times and trends that were previously impossible.
- Using standard functionality for CloudSuite, payment time has been reduced by 30% over 12 months. With the trend continuing downward for 2024. Bill accuracy has also increased.
- More than 136,000 meter readings have been reviewed using Infor CloudSuite Public Sector’s algorithm. Resulting in significantly improved bill accuracy for customers.
Andrew Crakanthorp, CEO of Riverina Water, said, “Infor’s deep industry knowledge has been a key factor in transforming our legacy architecture into an agile, efficient platform that meets current and future needs and has enabled process consistency and greater transparency throughout our organisation.

Unit4
Unit4 revealed the second part of its international research study, “The Back Office in 2025.” It highlighted the major difficulties for professional services firms in managing key financial systems, such as cash flow management, year-end financials, and project financials.
Financial errors have a clear human cost, as 61% say year-end reporting negatively impacts the well-being of the finance team, while a further 73% say reducing workload at year-end would help prevent burnout.
Bryce Wolf, Strategic Growth Director, Unit4, commented, “At a time when productivity and efficiency are bywords for every Professional Services firm, these findings reveal concerning shortcomings for organisations that want to be more competitive. The firms that drive greater consolidation of financial information will be closer to gaining a single source of truth about their business performance.
“Combined with greater automation to aid faster decision-making, this will be critical to survival and growth in the years ahead.”

To help joint customers thrive in a future where AI agents are a central part of how work gets done.
Matthew Brandt, Senior Vice President of Global Partners, Workday, said, “For nearly two decades, Workday has helped organisations manage their people and their money on a unified, secure platform.
“Now, as AI agents increasingly collaborate with human workforces, customers are looking to Workday to manage everything – people, money, and agents – together on one platform they can trust. Workday AI Developer Toolset
Workday announced a new unified AI developer toolset to the power of Workday Illuminate directly into the hands of customer and partner developers, enabling them to easily customise and connect AI apps and agents on the Workday platform.
Announced at Workday DevCon 2025, the company’s annual developer conference, the toolset includes:
- Agent Gateway. Developers will be able to connect third-party agents to the Workday Agent System of Record (ASOR) to enable seamless agent registration and agent-to-agent collaboration. Partners will also be able to enrol in Workday’s new Agent Partner Network and list their agents on the Workday Marketplace. This will enable customers to select and use the right agents for their specific needs while having a unified, trusted way to manage their human and digital workforce.
- AI Widgets. Developers will be able to add AI-powered widgets into apps and define custom prompts, providing users with personalised AI assistance to create and refine content quickly across HR and finance use cases. For example, AI widgets can help with customer support, automate answers to common questions, or guide users through tasks.
- Expanded AI Gateway APIs. Developers will be able to integrate new Workday AI services natively into apps, enabling users to ask questions about reports and understand documents using natural language. For example, a developer could leverage document intelligence to automatically classify documents and extract key information.
Matthew Grippo, Senior Vice President of core software at Workday, said, “Today, developers are under immense pressure to rapidly deliver sophisticated AI apps while navigating a complex and fragmented AI landscape. They’re piecing together disparate tools and services, hindering their ability to innovate.
“Workday’s new AI developer toolset removes these barriers by empowering developers to seamlessly integrate powerful AI capabilities into the apps and agents that will define the future of work.”
