Appointment - Image by Alexander from Pixabay https://pixabay.com/photos/door-handle-doorknob-lock-door-3633943/SYSPRO has appointed Mathias Høyer as its new CFO. He will replace Johan Conradie. It is unclear whether Conradie is leaving the company or staying in a different role. Høyer joins the company at a time when it is looking to accelerate growth following Advent International’s investment last year. This is the third CSuite appointment of the year, with Leanne Taylor appointed Chief Revenue Officer and Josef Al-Sibaie appointed Chief of Staff and Corporate Development Officer.

Høyer brings expertise in financial strategy, investor relations, and performance transformation within high-growth, private equity-owned technology businesses. He will lead the global finance organisation and support the leadership team in their efforts to deliver long-term value creation. The strategic hire brings an experienced finance leader into what is a large multinational organisation.

Jaco Maritz, CEO of SYSPRO, commented, “Mathias brings a wealth of financial acumen and industry experience, making him the ideal leader to support our strategic ambitions. His ability to drive profitability, lead complex transformation projects, and work across global teams will be invaluable as we scale our business and accelerate innovation in digital manufacturing.”

Høyer joins from Banking Circle Group, where he was Group Head of FP&A and Investor Relations. At the next-generation financial technology platform for global commerce, he helped oversee a business processing over $600 billion in transaction volume.

He has held several senior leadership roles in London and Scandinavia. He was CFO at Booksy, a global software and marketplace platform. Høyer led a major transformation program and secured significant equity financing. He was also interim CFO for a year at Bokadirekt.

Earlier in his career, he spent two years at Morgan Stanley in Investment Banking before moving to the investment firm General Atlantic. He was also the Chief Strategy Officer at Sleep Cycle. Høyer has experience across a wide variety of business and financial situations, including IPOs, IFRS conversions, and capital raises. He has worked in high-growth environments, including SaaS vendors.

Mathias Høyer commented, “I’m honored to join SYSPRO at such an exciting stage in its journey. The company has a strong foundation, a clear vision for growth, and a world-class team. I look forward to supporting our expansion strategy, strengthening our financial discipline, and partnering across the business to deliver long-term value for all our stakeholders.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Maritz is building a multinational leadership team that brings diverse experience into the company. It is a reflection of the global nature of SYSPRO and its endeavours to accelerate growth following the investment by Advent International.

It will be interesting to see what experience Høyer, the firm, leverages first. Will it continue to make acquisitions? It has already acquired Nexsys, a UK-based manufacturing and distribution software specialist, since the investment.
