Supply chains today are under pressure. Their growing complexity, intermittent but major disruptions, and increased customer demands have meant that organisations reliant on those supply chains have faced increasing challenges.
Enterprise Times spoke to Michael Brandl, the EVP responsible for the EMEA region at Infios, (rebranded from Körber Supply Chain Software), Suresh Mamunuru, the SVP of Supply Chain Logistics at Cybage Software, and David Houser, a supply chain expert who has worked for both companies at a senior level during a long and distinguished career.

The combination of Infios and Cybage Software has helped many companies worldwide overcome the challenges of inventory management. The relationship between the two companies has existed for a long time. Infios turns to Cybage to support its partners, but it does not have the global coverage it needs. Houser coined the phrase “Partners helping partners,” to illustrate the approach.
That relationship is formed on trust built over years and expertise in the Infios products such as Warehouse Advantage and MercuryGate. Manunuru confirmed, saying, “Through this partnership, we have worked together with Infios and other partners of Infios, to serve the customers in various implementations. We have done approximately 300-plus implementations globally, primarily on the warehouse advantage.”
The conversation talks through how supply chains are evolving. And how Infios and Cybage are helping organisations with those changes. The challenges faced by organisations and the successes the companies have had.
Brandl said, “At Infios, our vision is clear: to relentlessly make the supply chain better. We believe that when the supply chain works better, businesses and economies grow, and the world becomes more connected.
“Our strategy is to build on a foundation of adaptable innovation and customer-centric, ensuring that we meet our customers where they are and help them create the future they need.”
Making a real difference with Cybage and Infios
Houser was able to share an example of how the two companies have made a real difference. He noted, “One of the things that was great about the Körber-Infios relationship is the broadness of the solution. As well as the adaptability and flexibility of the solution.
“In the case of the telecom provider, we also were able to sunset, if you will, 12 separate legacy applications. Instead of thinking about more throats to choke, think about one hand to shake. That was incredibly valuable for that organisation to be able to do that.”
Houser also gave an example of a Brazilian apparel manufacturer, where the firm helped its eCommerce strategy by improving its warehouse management systems using Infios technology. A third example was from Asia, one of the largest global transporters that wanted real-time visibility of its cold chain operations. These are three completely different examples that show the strength of the Infios systems and the Cybage expertise.
