The Build program will provide the data integrity vendor access to resources, services, and benefits to successfully collaborate with SAP. Precisely will gain access to the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), gain go-to-market services and list its solutions on the SAP store, which has access to over 400,000 SAP customers.

The designation recognises the value that Precisely’s process automation and data integrity solutions deliver to SAP customers. Its tools help SAP customers accelerate modernisation, streamline complex processes, drive business agility, and improve data integrity across SAP ERP environments.

As SAP customers are increasingly migrating their often complex ERP implementations to SAP Cloud solutions, the challenge of data migration was cited by 39% of organisations. The same survey noted the complex adaptation of the existing system landscape or IT architecture (37%) as the second-highest.

Precisely can leverage the PartnerEdge Build Status to enhance and equip its automation solutions for SAP customers as they look to migrate from their legacy platforms. By July 2024, only a fifth of SAP customers had migrated to the cloud. There are still a huge number to complete the process.

What can Precisely assist with?

After the acquisition of Winshuttle in 2021, the Precisely technology portfolio associated with SAP grew stronger. It now consists of several key products that help SAP customers on their modernisation journeys.

SAP Master Data Management

SAP MDM helps organisations improve SAP master data quality, streamline master data processes across their SAP landscape. It will deliver maximum business impact from their ERP investment.

SAP Process Automation

Supported by SAP Master Data Management, SAP Process Automation assists SAP customers with automation across Finance, HR, Supply Chain Management and Plant Maintenance.

Excel to SAP Automation

During the migration process, many organisations use Excel to help with the ETL process. The Precisely Automate Studio enables customers to create, manage, extract and transform SAP data from within the familiar Excel application they already use. Last year, Precisely extended Automate Studio to support SAP Fiori.

The update enables organisations using SAP Fiori to improve data collection, validation, and movement for use with SAP S/4HANA. The update enables organisations to maintain a familiar “Record-Map-Run” experience across both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, regardless of whether users operate via SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, or SAP GUI for HTML.

Earlier this year, Precisely also updated the Automate SAP Data API. The API is designed to assist organisations with complex SAP ERP integrations and accelerate digital transformation. It leverages Automate Studio and Automate Evolve, Precisely’s easy-to-use no-code/low-code platforms for SAP Process Automation. The latest updates include support for mass data migrations and improved reporting capabilities.

Customers benefit from the Precisely – SAP relationship

Over 2,000 organisations leverage the Precisely automation capabilities to assist with their SAP transformation programs. Groupe L’Occitane cut SAP data processing time by 4x with Automate Studio. The organisation eliminated manual data entry by automating their processes with Automate Studio, improving data quality and accuracy. Precisely was compared to the SAP Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW).

Grégory Russo, SAP Solution Manager, Groupe L’Occitane, commented, “Today we can update 340 lines with three specific fields in 30 minutes, whereas it used to take more than three hours to do manually. To get the same result, we would have had to create an LSMW script in SAP. Which would have taken resources from our competency centre, who were already engaged in other projects, so this is a big win for us.”

Chris Hall, Chief Product Officer at Precisely, commented, “As companies seek to navigate increasingly complex SAP modernisation projects, we are proud to join the SAP PartnerEdge programme as a Build partner. This milestone reflects our commitment to driving innovation and delivering unmatched value to our process automation customers around the globe.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean?

Precisely continues to invest in technology that helps SAP customers. With its expertise in Data Integrity and data transformation, it provides an accelerator that helps SAP with migration and transformation projects. The status as a Build Partner is significant and will help bring its solutions to the wider attention of SAP customers worldwide.

There is a huge potential market out there, with 400,000 potential customers, of which Precisely has only reached 2,000 so far. Can Precisely accelerate its growth by offering its solutions to any customers? The actual target market is likely smaller.

There are around 35,000 SAP customers still using legacy SAP ERP systems. These potentially have to migrate to S/4HANA by the end of 2027, when support ends. Precisely’s tools can help de-risk many of their projects.
