Last week, Enterprise Times attended Appian World, where the company made several announcements. Appian stepped up its approach to developers with its first-ever DevCon, unveiling a new focus on developers at the event.
Appian unveiled information about new products and its upcoming 25.2 release. Among those announcements are Agent Studio, intelligent document processing in AI Document Center, and smart search. It has also been said that Gen AI agents can be used in Autoscale, allowing customers to deploy more of them.
Appian also announced that customers are increasingly embedding AI into their business processes. By using AI inside business processes, they are allowing it to drive automation and customer engagement.
One area in particular where Appian customers are seeing benefits of this is when working with government and compliance controls. It claims that embedded AI is able to deliver compliance with 95% accuracy, far in excess of human-managed systems.

Cybage Software revealed how it used integrated WMS technology from Infios to help a digital and global logistics company in Singapore double its customer onboarding rate.
For a leading digital engagement and monetisation solutions provider based in the US Cybage also strengthened security and streamlined operations. The project included the deployment of a web application firewall with custom rules to block malicious traffic. Rizzo Brothers, Inc., a leading commercial painting contractor headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, leverages the cloud-based solution Deltek ComputerEase to empower employees to be connected and productive from anywhere.
The cloud-based solution has helped the firm remove paper-based manual processes, enabling the firm to scale operations significantly.
Steve Brunner, CPA for Rizzo Brothers, explains, “There’s no way the on-premises structure that was here three years ago would have been able to handle our growth trajectory. We would have survived, but we would have had more turnover, and it would have been much more difficult.”

Precisely announced the results of new global research. The Observability for AI Innovation study was created by the Business Application Research Centre (BARC) and sponsored by Precisely. BARC surveyed a diverse set of over 250 data and AI stakeholders worldwide. Uncovering critical insights into how organisations leverage observability to drive trusted AI and analytics outcomes.
Key findings included:
- 76% of organisations have formalised, implemented, or optimised programs for both data quality and data pipeline observability, demonstrating a strong commitment to building trusted AI foundations.
- Unstructured data is becoming a key focus. 62% of organisations are exploring the use of semi-structured data, with 28% already actively using it. While 60% are currently evaluating unstructured documents.
- North American organisations are leading in AI and observability maturity. 88% of North American organisations have formalised observability programs across disciplines, compared to just 47% in Europe. North American firms also place greater emphasis on regulatory compliance and data privacy despite the absence of federal AI regulations comparable to the EU’s AI Act.

ZipRecruiter, a leading online employment marketplace, announced it had achieved Workday Certified Integration status with the rollout of an upgraded integration.
Zoho
In a blog, Zoho revealed that it has added bounce reports in ZeptoMail. The bounce reports section provides in-depth analytics into your email bounces, letting you gather insights quickly while troubleshooting. The reports provide information about how many emails bounced, why they bounced and what the email source was.
Zoho has suspended its year-long pursuit of a $700 million plan to expand into chip manufacturing. In a post on X, Founder Sridhar Vembu stated, “On our semiconductor fab investment plan, since this business is so capital intensive it requires government backing, we wanted to be absolutely sure of the technology path before we take taxpayer money.
“We did not have that confidence in the tech so our board decided to shelve this idea for the time being, until we find a better tech approach.”
