Most notably, the appointment of Dan Barnhardt as Deltek’s Chief Marketing Officer. Some vendors rushed to get announcements out before the long weekend and others held off. With May approaching the conference season is also starting in earnest now, and there are several events and multiple announcements due in the coming weeks.

Acquisitions, Business and Financial

ActiveCampaign has announced the acquisition of Hilos, one of the most advanced WhatsApp automation platforms for businesses.

The CA/Browser Forum has voted to reduce the life of SSL/TLS certificates to just 47 days by 2029. The move is part of a plan to improve online security.

Certinia’s CEO, DJ Paoni, revealed that the company has hit EBITDA profitability after a successful financial year ending January 31st 2025. He also gave a business update for the financial year as well.

NetRise has closed a $10 million Series A funding round for software supply chain visibility and risk management.

Flockr has added yet another brand to cement its proof points for its Social Proof platform. Kick Game, a leading luxury sneaker and streetwear retailer, saw a 18.5% increase in conversions as a result of deploying Flockr.

VertiGIS has revolutionised the document management system of Stadtwerke Wörgl with its VertiGIS ConnectMaster solution. The deal will make it easier for the utility, IT and mobility services company to manage its fibre optic network.

Product

BlueCart has announced a suite of powerful new features designed to supercharge restaurant profitability and streamline vendor adoption at scale.

Certinia has unveiled its Spring 25 release with updates across the portfolio. There were updates to all three core solutions. It also announced the renaming of ERP Cloud to Financial Management Cloud.

Curve, a digital wallet provider, has launched Curve Pay, a mobile payment solution on Android devices, across the UK and Europe.

Gong has announced the release of new AI Agents that will provide Digital assistants to empower revenue-generating teams.

Research

Cross-Border Commerce Europe has published its annual report ranking the top 500 European eCommerce players, focusing on their cross-border performance. In 2024, the total online EU cross-border market reached €275.6 billion (excluding travel). This represented a significant 36% share of the overall online market.

Agiloft

Agiloft announced the completion of an integration with Screens. Screens is a leading AI-powered contract review technology, the playbook-based AI contract review and redlining solution it acquired in December 2024. Screens’ technology empowers companies to accelerate contract review and negotiation processes, mitigate risks, and extract valuable insights from complex documents with unprecedented ease and efficiency.

Cybage Software

Cybage published several short case studies about successful projects it has recently completed. It helped transform the legacy expenses system into a modern solution for a leading provider of global travel and expense management solutions to large enterprises.

The firm also developed a custom Salesforce to automate and cut quote creation time by more than 80% for a global partner in digital marketing, transformation, and digital business. The application customised Salesforce CPQ, integrating the solution with Certinia for finance and billing—Google Sheets for price and resource plan configuration and leveraging custom objects for multicurrency support.

For a privately owned travel management company Cybage implemented a feature providing travellers with previous and active trip details, powered by an extensive chat function.

It helped integrate a booking platform enabling travellers and agents to book multiple travel segments (flights, cars, hotels), enhancing travel distribution services. Developed a portal for seamless management of invoices and itineraries and enabled an integration with Tripit.

The results included a:

  • 15% decrease in effort required to manage itineraries
  • 30% boost in customer satisfaction with self-trip management
  • 40% reduction in customer support queries due to the automated support process

Deltek

Deltek detailed changes in the latest release of Deltek Costpoint. In Costpoint’s 2025.2 release, customers will have access to additional Smart Summaries, expanded capabilities for Quick Entry Expense Reports, and integration for Ask Dela to Costpoint Help.

There are three new Smart Summaries for Vendors, Customers and Employees. In 2025.2, Costpoint’s digital assistant, Dela, can now access Deltek Help content and answer “how to” questions. It has added additional options to Costpoint’s popular Quick Entry Expense Reports. Thus making them more flexible for different expense report users.

Kantata

Kantata announced the appointment of several new hires in a short LinkedIn Post. The appointments included:

Panasonic has announced the appointment of the University of Staffordshire to become a KAIROS Academy Partner. It will offer students a state-of-the-art eSports degree that equips them with essential industry skills. Alongside long-term partner Digital Garage, the University of Staffordshire’s KAIROS Academy will specialise in educating operators and students on getting the most out of Panasonic’s KAIROS IP-based live video production platform.

Rootstock

Rootstock has launched Tariff Management Central, a comprehensive approach designed to help manufacturers manage the operational and financial impact of shifting global tariffs with greater speed, accuracy, and agility. The product is available in Beta.

VertiGIS

VertiGIS has appointed Greg Brazeau has been appointed as VertiGIS’ new Vice President of Sales for its North American utilities business. The new operation has its headquarters based in Denver, Colorado. It will bring together the existing US-based utilities, sales and marketing, presales, and support teams into one entity.

Zoho announced updates to the Zoho Sign Android mobile app. It follows the release of the iOS app last week. The app has several improvements included.

  • Support for four new languages: Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian, and Traditional Chinese
  • Enable visible signatures to catalogue metadata on every signed document. Recording signer metadata—such as their name, unique recipient ID, email address, reason for signing, and date of signing
  • A native framework scanner that helps you scan and upload documents directly from your device
  • The ability to email completed documents to in-person signers after completion
  • A Dynamic knowledge-based authentication (KBA) for US data centres through IDology
  • Integration of Zoho Checkout with Zoho Sign to collect payments with the payment signer field
  • The ability of the app to support logins from multiple accounts and switch between them
