Rocketlane has launched AI Fills, an AI powered assistant that provides a range of productivity enhancements for users of its PSA platform. The solution is available now in a 14-day trial for customers to try it out. Setting up the trial is simple. Customers need to switch it on and enter a couple of parameters around solutions they need to integrate with, such as the calendar. Customers can either use a meeting assistant to record meetings, or the solution can also integrate with Gong.
AI Fills will also support Zoom, MS Teams and Google Meet. If a customer already has a Google Enterprise account they can also leverage the Google recording that is available. AI Fills can record meetings, transcribe, analyse and produce the required output as determined by the user.
This is where Rocketlane differs from other solutions. It does not assume that the user wants a summary of the call. Instead, users can create a template which they can then apply to the recorded meeting. Core to the template is a prompt that the user can enter a natural language statement which determines what AI Fills will do with the meeting notes.
How templates work in AI Fills
For example, AI Fills could summarise the meeting, create a list of action points from the meeting, the timelines highlighted by a meeting, or perhaps, in a project board, record the decisions made during the meeting.
Users can also define the format and tone of the meeting notes. The template allows a user to select a tone of professional, casual or neutral, and the format could be paragraph, bullet points or a numbered list.
Out of the box, customers have seven default templates to choose from. They include:

- Action Items
- Key Takeaways
- Next Steps
- Decisions Taken
- Email Template
- Meeting Minutes
Users can create new templates to extract the information from a call determined by the prompt they create. The templates also include the ability to generate an email, in which the AI-generated content is automatically included.
There is good flexibility in these templates, which will enable organisations to personalise to suit their business. Once connected to a calendar, the AI will generate the content from the recording, which can be reviewed and parsed into the email template for distribution to the relevant people.
Why this matters
Rocketlane has developed a comprehensive AI capability that will save professional services organisations considerable effort. Rocketlane estimates that teams spend up to ten hours a week collating information following meetings. AI Fills reduces the amount of manual effort required by generating insights and meeting summaries from call recordings.

How it works
AI Fills leverages ChatGPT integrated with a framework that helps users automate many of their documentation tasks. This is not Agentic AI but an automation of Generative AI that is a stepping stone to Agentic AI. It is an interesting combination that provides a consistent output and process, and with the customisation options available, it creates a powerful tool for professional services organisations.
AI Fills uses ChatGPT for its LLM. Enterprise Times asked Varshitha Acharya, Product Marketer at Rocketlane, whether customers could select their preferred LLM. She replied that they did not have that option.
AI Fills is the first release of this solution. I asked Acharya whether AI Fills generates the actions itemised by the template within Rocketlane itself. This would have been a step closer to Agenctic AI. She replied, “Not today, but it is part of phase two because it’s something we heard from people to pull action items and just put them back into the projects. But it’s not available today right now. It’s only limited to the content it can generate.”
She reiterated that customer data is not used to train the LLM but that the generative AI capability leverages data held on the Rocketlane system to provide insights, whether that is from recordings or any content held in Spaces, the Rocketlane document repository.
Any insights or information is held within the Rocketlane ecosystem unless users choose to email the results to customers. Rocketlane has a high level of compliance across its technology stack to ensure customer data is secure. It has achieved SOC 2, SOC 3, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 compliance.
Pricing
Pricing starts at $29 per user per month. An organisation that has licenses also receives 150 credits per user and 100 hours of call recording per user per month. These credits and hours can be shared across the organisation. Customers can also purchase additional hours and credits at $0.5 per hour or credit. A credit is used for each activation of a credit.
Acharya explained further, saying, “When we say credits apply to all, it’s irrespective of the people who’ve gotten the licenses. The licenses are ideal for those who are going to client meetings a lot. Let’s say the sales team go to a client meeting. So, the licenses could be for five sales teams, but as a PM, I don’t need to go on the sales call.
“I probably only need insights from the meeting, I can also use those credits. I don’t need a license for myself. The license is to get the meeting recordings, and the credits can be used by everyone, irrespective of whether they have a license or not.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
AI Fills is an impressive set of capabilities that goes well beyond many of the generative AI solutions on the market. It also takes the capability far further than most of the call transcription services available. As it takes the generated content and puts it into the flow of work. The second phase of development should be even more impressive as it looks to integrate AI Fills back into the Rocketlane project management capabilities.
What is interesting is that Rocketlane has developed automation around generative rather than taking the more complex step of digital assistants. The solution is also likely to be more acceptable to many users as it maintains the human in the loop. It also delivers massive productivity gains by going a step further.
Rocketlane has built an impressive framework with AI Fills, and it will be interesting to see how it develops over the coming months and what customers say about it.
