FourKites has updated its list of carriers that have shown outstanding tracking performance across transportation modes globally. The report lists 818 carriers who help transport the goods of over 1,600 of the world’s leading brands. Together, the carriers understand the real-time details of around 3.2 million loads in transit at any time.
The report is a useful resource for organisations looking to identify carriers that would be suitable for their market. The list can be filtered by different capabilities and services (17), transportation modes (9), Regions (8) and carrier types (8). Also, the list supports the US Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay partners, of which there are 208. What the list does not show are any service levels of reviews of performance for each carrier. Each entry includes contact details.
However, every listed carrier uses the FourKites platform. It is able to reduce manual check calls, minimize dwell time, streamline carrier-shipper workflows and help shippers respond quickly to operational changes and disruptions.
The list has also grown from Premier Carrier List H1 ,2024 with 727 carriers, although the number of SmartWay partners has fallen from 215.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean
The PCL carrier list is a useful resource for organisations looking for a transportation partner. However, it would benefit if all the information was up to date on the list. One might have expected some firms to be keen to add the correct contact details and website. Carriers will be missing out if their data is not updated.
The resource is useful, but only if the information is accurate and up to date. Of the first twelve listed on the site, only one has an accurate website link. FourKites should consider enhancing the list to enable carriers to update their information. If customers were able to share reviews, this could become a much more widely used information hub. It will potentially improve it as a resource for leads, further cementing the relationship between FourKites and its customers.
