We are currently using the “Premium” version of the product. While the “Enterprise” version has far more customisation options available, there are some very useful personalisation features within the “Premium” version.
Did you know that you can assign a task to a person after you start a new project? You can also assign a new member of staff.
What to do?
Firstly you need to allow the person to see the project and check that they have permission to edit that project.
List of staff to assign tasks to.
- Select [Setup Button].
- From the list on the left of the window that appears select [Manage Users].
- From the list click on the name you wish to add to this new project.
The window will appear to show you all things related to this person.
- Select the three dots on the top right of the window.
- Select [Edit] from the list.
The Edit User/Profile Permissions window appears.
In the list of [All Projects] locate the project you wish this person to be a part of and tick the box. If you need the person to be notified that they are now part of this project checked box next to the words [Notify edited user] as in the image above.
- Select the [Update] button.
This takes you back to the Edit User/Profile Permissions window.
- Select the [Close Button] at the top right of this window.
This takes you back to the Setup Window.
- Select the [Close Button] at the top right of this window.
This takes you back to the window you started in.
- Select and open the project you have just allowed the person to see.
- Select a task, and that person is now on the list to be assigned a task.
Bookmark this tip so that you can find it easily again. This is one thing I always forget how to do, so having a list of steps is very helpful.
