BlackLine has appointed Philippe Omer Decugis as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Europe. Decugis has over 20 years of experience in technology and financial services and more than a decade of leading teams in Europe.
At BlackLine, he has the remit of expanding the presence of BlackLine across Europe. Thus driving innovation, and delivering exceptional outcomes for customers. He was selected for the role as a proven leader with the ability to blend operational excellence with a customer-centric approach. His customer-centric approach, BlackLine believes will help unlock opportunities in the region. The company currently has offices in France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Netherlands, and the UK, with customers in several more European countries.
This appears to be the first time that BlackLine has appointed a General Manager for Europe. Thus, demonstrates the region’s strength and importance to BlackLine’s expansion plans. Decugis will be responsible for the strategic initiatives in Europe and has a remit to drive relationships with key partners and the adoption of BlackLine solutions.

Who is Philippe Omer Decugis?
Decugis joins BlackLine from ContentSquare where he was General Manager for France and Switzerland for the last three and a half years. Before that, he spent twelve years at Salesforce. There he worked in Sales leadership positions, rising to the role of Area Vice President, Head of Retail & CPG France & EMEA Board Director.
Prior to Salesforce, he worked for SAP for over seven years and also spent time at Cartesis and Groupe A.S. He studied at INSEAD, NEOMA Business School, and HEC Paris. He speaks French, Spanish, and English. It will be interesting to see whether he aims to expand BlackLine’s presence in Spain by adding yet another office in Europe.

Ryan’s appointment of a senior figure to lead the European Operation is a significant move to bring in local senior leadership. Decugis will strive to help enterprises optimize their financial operations and achieve transformational results with the BlackLine regional team. With a senior leader on the continent, it will help build relationships with the local SIS and key partners in the region, such as SAP.
