Big Red Cloud provides online accounting software for bookkeepers and accountants. Its solution supports finance professionals working in various sectors, including retail, hospitality, agriculture, education, and construction.

The partnership will enable Big Red Cloud customers to use Direct Debit to collect and reconcile recurring payments from their clients directly within Big Red Cloud. GoCardless features will also help reduce late payments and bad debt. This will not only help with cash flow but also free up time for more client-facing activities.

Big Red Cloud will continue to deepen the integration. Later this year, it intends to add the GoCardless open banking-powered payment feature, Instant Bank Pay. Enabling this feature will provide accountants with an alternative for instant, one-off payments without the high fees associated with traditional card transactions.

Marc O’Dwyer, CEO at Big Red Cloud, commented, “We’re really pleased to be expanding our relationship with GoCardless. As a happy customer that already uses GoCardless for our own business, it was a natural step for us to look at how we could bring these benefits to our customers, which is why we explored this partnership model.

“Our goal is to simplify financial management for accountants, and a large part of that is making sure they have access to the latest payment technology. By partnering with innovators like GoCardless, we’re able to deliver – and we know first-hand how it revolutionises the payment experience for the better.”

GoCardless expands its partnership with Accounting solutions

GoCardless has over 350 partners listed in its partner ecosystem. Though Big Red Cloud does not yet have a listing (as of writing this article). It already has over fifty Accounting and Invoicing partners, including market leaders such as QuickBooks, Sage and Xero.

Jolawn Victor, Chief Growth Officer at GoCardless, said, “We believe accountants should be successful because of the valuable advice and services they provide to clients. Building on our relationship with Big Red Cloud enables us to bring faster, cheaper and more secure payments to our joint merchants and their customers, freeing up time for accountants who can take payments off their list and get back to serving their clients.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

With this partnership, GoCardless further strengthens its presence in the accounting sector and, by extension, in the SME sector, where Big Red Cloud primarily operates. Big Red Cloud has also extended its payment partners, giving its customers choices. It also has a relationship with Square.

That Big Red Cloud is investing in developing the integration further is good news for its customers. As it will help automate more of the often manual processes that take up time that is better spent on more productive work.
