Zoho has added another distribution agreement. This time, it has signed a strategic partnership with SiS Distribution (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SiS). The news comes a few weeks after a partnership was announced with Ingram Micro in the UK.
The partnership will enable SiS to distribute Zoho products to businesses across Thailand. The firm will focus on Zoho applications such as Bigin by Zoho CRM, Zoho CRM, Zoho CRM Plus, Zoho Workplace, Zoho Desk, and Zoho Mail. SiS has relationships with over 10,000 customers in Thailand. These include computer retailers, trading companies, government agencies, system integrators, and computer manufacturers.
Through the agreement, Zoho hopes to accelerate its footprint in Thailand. Thus bringing its solutions to a wider set of Thai businesses through SiS’s extensive network of resellers. SiS is already a distributor for over 200 global vendors, including AWS, Microsoft 365, Foxit, Cloudally, iMin Technology and DocuSign. Adding Zoho to that list brings a platform of solutions that offers an alternative to Microsoft Office with Zoho Mail and Zoho Workplace at a lower cost point.
Somchai Sittichaisrichart, Managing Director, SiS Distribution (Thailand) Public Company Limited, commented, “SiS is delighted to collaborate with Zoho to equip Thai businesses with advanced digital solutions. By leveraging Zoho’s innovative offerings and SiS’s local expertise, we aim to optimize business operations, enhance efficiency, and foster collaboration.
“Our commitment to simplifying processes and supporting digital transformation will empower businesses of all sizes in Thailand to grow and innovate. Thereby enabling them to thrive in the competitive global marketplace.”
Zoho identifies common goals with SiS
Both SiS and Zoho are aligned with similar goals to help organisations transform their business. With tailored solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and scalability through digital transformation. SiS now offer an extensive range of Zoho Applications to assist Thai businesses in the digital transformation of their operations with robust cloud-based software that is state of the art.
Zoho continues to develop its AI capabilities with its AI Assistant, Zia, embedded into many of its applications. It continues to invest. Recently announcing a deal with NVIDIA to take advantage of NVIDIA Nemo to build LLMs within its data centre.
Bishan Singh, Head of Channel Ecosystem at Zoho, said,“Partnering with SiS will be integral to expanding our partner network in Thailand, allowing us to extend our reach and capabilities in this key market. Through this collaboration, we’re excited to empower Thai businesses with an integrated platform that enhances their operations, efficiency, and collaboration. SiS’s local expertise will help us deliver tools that simplify processes and enable businesses in Thailand to grow and innovate, supporting their digital transformation efforts.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Singh has had a productive year, adding SiS to agreements with Ingram Micro (UK) and Redington in India. It will be interesting to see whether further deals are announced for other nations before the end of the year.
Through SiS Zoho has access to a large number of Thai businesses. However this deal does not seem to be a sole distributor. It may see Zoho extend its reach further with more deals. One of the major national distributors is VSTECS, part of VST ECS Group. VST has a network of more than 48,000 active channel partners across China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos.
Will the agreement with SiS, especially if successful, bring distributors such as VST ECS Group to contact Singh to enquire about further distribution deals in the region? Regardless, Zoho is clearly flagged on the SiS website as one of its major partners, with more collateral than many of its other agreements.
As Zoho signs up more of these deals, it should be easier for Singh and Zoho to gain further traction in international markets. It will be interesting to see what other announcements follow in the next few months. For now, SiS has a first-mover advantage; can it capitalise on this effectively?
