Trust and data integrity are emerging as key topics for the C-Suite. Customers are increasingly concerned about how their data is acquired, used and stored. They are tired of misuse and even loss of their data due to poor practices.
At Open Malmo, Atul Rajput, EMEA Director, Channel Partners and End Customers at Axis Communications, discussed the need for trust and data integrity. He then showed how the Edelman Trust Barometer identifies trusted data as part of a company’s intangible valuation.
Enterprise Times invited Rajput to participate in this podcast to understand more. We opened the conversation by asking how we reset what data integrity means to organisations and their customers.
Rajput commented, “It’s making sure that you are abiding by an ethical code that you have established as a company on how you use that data, how you use to market that data, and ensuring those principles are reflected through the company.”
He went on to discuss how this has to be something that everyone in the organisation takes on board. He said, “It’s not just the onus of the IT department. I think it’s everyone’s responsibility to be trained to be cognizant.”
The conversation also covers the challenges of privacy and consent. Getting consent when capturing through a website is something most people are used to. But how do you get consent and apply privacy when that data comes from an AI or cameras? How do you manage transparency when an AI uses the data?
Listen to the podcast to hear what Rajput had to say about these.
