Bentley Systems also announced a strategic partnership with Google to integrate Google’s high-quality geospatial content with Bentley’s infrastructure engineering software and digital twin platform. This will improve the way infrastructure is designed, built, and operated.
Bentley software users and developers can use Google Maps Platform’s geospatial content, including Google’s stunning Photorealistic 3D Tiles, for real-world geospatial context and immersive 3D experiences in their digital workflows.
The partnership complements Bentley’s recent acquisition of Cesium, the foundational open platform for creating powerful 3D geospatial applications. Cesium is the creator of the 3D Tiles open standard used by Google. Bentley is also collaborating with Google Cloud to deliver AI-driven insights for asset analytics.

Fictiv is a leading supplier of custom mechanical parts which Cybage has helped with a digital transformation project. The project leveraged AWS Lambda to facilitate real-time updates of data across Fictiv’s system.
Cybage also created and deployed dedicated scalable Lambda functions for user authentication, connection management, message broadcasting, and dynamic event handling. Its guardrails enable Ficti to align job status across different systems.

Panasonic Debuts KAIROS Live Production Platform at Camper Calling 2024
Panasonic Connect Europe’s IP-based live production platform, KAIROS, has made its global live music festival debut at Camper Calling 2024. Full-service AV rental, production, and virtual event company CPL has deployed KAIROS. Thus streamlining its technology infrastructure and minimising the intermediary kit and cabling required as part of its migration to the SMPTE ST 2110 IP-based transmission standard.
Lee Gruszeckyj, Production Director, CPL, said, “Our long-standing relationship with Panasonic meant it was only natural that we utilised its KAIROS live video production platform as part of our overall investment in ST 2110 – and we can already see the benefits. Workday announced that seven higher education institutions within the University of Arkansas System are live on Workday Student. As part of a phased implementation for the University of Arkansas System. The remaining institutions are expected to be live on Workday Student by Spring 2025.

Cognizant and Workday grab $144.3 million UK Government deal
Workday and Cognizant have won a matrix deal from Oracle, Microsoft and another party. Cognizant won the Systems integration contract for nine departments (worth around £80 million) and Workday, the ERP contract (worth £65 million). Some of which are currently already using Cloud software, others not.

Yooz
Yooz has published findings from a survey: Beyond the Balance Sheet. It found that 88% of finance professionals are stressed by shifting business priorities. Based on a survey of 500 US finance professionals conducted by Pollfish. It examines the current emotional and professional state of finance departments.
Other key findings included:
- 92% reported that budget constraints had impacted their ability to meet strategic goals
- 74% of finance professionals have worked overtime regularly over the past six months
- Two-thirds have been thinking about work regularly during their time off
- 70% of finance professionals believe automation technology could significantly or completely reduce stress caused by shifting business priorities. However, barriers remain between IT and Finance
